It's fake.

It's a clever video done with flash, you can see where the hammers are real and when they stop being real, the camera zooms in on the scene of the nail and hammers, the hammers are the flash objects and you can see where they snapped the movements to match the sound's they had recorded. All easily doable with older versions of flash so in this day and age, almost anything is possible.

I almost wonder if he's asking you if it's real at the beginning.

The texture of the nail ? no . You can't see shit on this youtube vid, especially not the texture and shading of the nail.

The sound : It is not the same everytime

Four reasons why this is perfectly fake:

1. The nail changes texture and shading during it being hit into the wood.

2. The sound of the hammer hitting the nail is exactly the same everytime.
