Just because Ted Allen does not run his own kitchen does not mean he does not have a well developed palette. That's what being a foodie is about, knowing what you're eating and being able to judge what's good or not.

Jeffrey Steingarten probably does not run his own kitchen either but I bet his palette is more developed than most contestants on top chef.

For your information Ted Allen is starting a new show on the food network.

With Ted Allen and certain other judges on these type shows, I believe it's a question of not who you know but who you blow! As I say Ted Allen probably wouldn't know the difference between a good pate and Fancy Feast catfood.

top chef is the shizzle...season 1 winner harold would smoke any of the other champs. It is true...you know it.

Hung would serve his usual dog food inspired crap on plate, and his Vietnamese cat on a stick. Top Chef was good the first season, then they started shoving assholes like Ilan and Hung and now Lisa down our throat it just turns me off from the show.
