Is the 'soco' name a rip off soho in NYC?

I went here recently and the staff were extremely pretentious, rude and unhelpful. Just because you dress hip doesn't give you the right to be rude to paying customers. I was really disappointed and not impressed.

Stayed there, hated it,left early.

Forget about sleeping,the noise from the patio bar will keep you awake and the smoke from the smokers will fill your room. You pay waaaay too much for what you get.

well , I have to disagree ... yes , it's expensive but the whole vibe is really nice , the rooms are nice ... if you want to pay less and still stay on SoCo , the Austin Motel is a great choice too . Love San Jose cuz you can spend the night @ the Continental Club and just cross the street and go to bed ... I sleep with earplugs , so I didn't hear the noise ...
