Unfortunately it seems it doesn't have to do with the browser :(

IGN changed and now we can't download with that way anymore.

The other way that still works is via using the Real Player.

You only have to install Real Player, it's plain sailing from there. Google it to find a download link, I can't help you more for this.

Then you just get your cursor over the video and a box pops up asking if you want to download it (without disturbing you of course).

hey i typed in high at the end like you said but it sais the site is under maintainenece after. so i kept it at low and it downloaded but now i cant open it??

when i enter the new url into my internet browser, and try to download it, i cant open it (it tries to open a new internet page, then it goes back to the original download thing). and when i press save, windows movie maker wont recognise it, so i cant import it. can anybody help?

The original download video file was a .flv file, I assume? The same thing happened with me. I just got a video converter and converted the video from .flv to whatever other file(.wmv, .mov).

This quite helped! However, there's one video I want to download that I can't seem to. The video I want has "wmvhd" in the file name instead of "wmvhighwide" or the like. I've tried replacing the file name with "flvhighwide", "flvhd", so on, but that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Try to convert it on a bigger scale, for example the original video is 640x480 and you make it 1024x768, then youtube hopefully will recognise it as an HD or HQ video with no quality loss.

Yes,

by converting it using a program.

There are many programs that convert video files but I recommend you find Super (video converter), which is freeware.

But if you prefer a program that plays FLV files rather than converts them, try using Applian FLV Player (I haven't tried it), which is also free.
