Its all about relaxation.When you tense up you actually lose power.Not many people do this kind of break unless i'm mistaken this was an ancient way of practicing which forces you to have to relax and not tense up.Nicely done.I bet you also do the cotton fist to.

Not really an iron palm if you use the back of y our hand, as at that point, its the back of your hand, and not in fact your palm...maybe Im confused...

Semantics, Iron palm is also Iron Hand. This meaning gets lost in the Chinese translation of Tiet Sao. As you condition all parts of the hand not just the "palm"...

ugh now do this with a tight grip on the egg, all that occurs is a loosening of the grip on the egg as you strike, so none of the impact is transfered to it.

Breaking the block with the back of the hand is easy. Gripping the egg and having body control as you break the block is the hard part. As the hand wants to contract Involuntarily. --If it is so easy then why is no one else doing this break? I'd like to see you do it Sir... If you can.
