I wish it didn't cost so much to buy Sony Vegas Pro.../sigh so many great tutorials that I will never be able to use :( Well, looks really informative, added it to my "Tutorials" playlist for my subscribers.

@sango213 one thing i know used to work, which i did for a while, was downloading the 30 day trial, then after it runs out, reinstall your OS and then reinstall the trial again

@GameKing1379 lol, thanks. But I simply don't like pirating because it means that the creators don't get any kind of income from it. And I don't feel that pirating is neccesarily the best way to tell them that their software is too expensive. However, to trial-run it for a day or two (not months), and then buy it is fine, just IMO.

@sango213 absolutely... like i said, there used to be a thing where you could install a trial and then once it was up you just reinstall your OS and you can get the trial again.

@whitejagger it all has to do with your render settings. But it you have crappy quality footage to start with, good render settings won't fix it. For consoles like the xbox 360 and ps3 I would recommend a hauppauge hd pvr. For PC I would recommend Fraps. Hope this helped

@stefanobird77788 eventually if you do this long enough it just becomes muscle memory and you might even develop a better way of doing this... just remember its all about the keyframes

i dragged erm cookie cutter intro the little box on sony vegas and now i cant get it out and it wont come up with the little "animate" bar so i can animate... help?

@EADynasty on the video clip there will be an "Event FX" button... click that then select the effect and you should be able to click animate... if you want to get rid of the effect click on what looks like a + with an x over it and it will remove the effect

go to hypercam . com, and you will find the newst hypercam with mush better quallity... thats what I use

@RTSplayer7 some effects have a deeper level of change than others... switch it up a little.... and make sure you add keyframes!

Hi! I have a problem that I'm hoping you can help me with. At 4:00, when the video fx window opens, you see how you have that little timeline at the bottom of it where you can add keyframes so it adjusts the fx settings to be different throughout the video? That isn't there for me. It was there at one point, as I remember using it to make a cool wavy effect that changed throughout the video, but now it's gone for some reason. Any ideas how I can get it to come back?

@EFEdits well personally i don't think still a very good editor... if you look at all my montages in order you can kind of see how i have progressed through editing... really it's just about how long you do it... i've been doing it for about a year now on youtube so i've had time to mess around with a whole lot of things ... just play around with the program you've got and get familiar with it and develop your own style that YOU like that's all i can really say

@AbysmalCry i just made it my self.... right click the video clip... go to properties... uncheck maintain aspect ratio... then click event pan/crop... then move the edges in until there are no more black lines
