  • lol..... you are a Fucking Pathetic Loser.

  • i feel for you man, i am a stickler for wearing gear, but if you are just testing out something you dont really think about this happening

  • Sorry you got banged up. Hope you healed up ok. Thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome video!

Let the people that write bad comments get injured badly.

They would of said "why didn't I listen to that guy?"

Stupid people think they are pros that they don't need gears.

  • Did anyone see, that would be embarrassing?

  • PEOPLE, stop being IGNORANTs, this guy makes a good point and a great example for all riders, stop fucking post stupid comments about his mistakes, you guys probably dont ride SHIT and sit there, give out crappy comments and all that! FUCK YOU! stupid people

GEAR UP, that's his point! and his accident is an example for all, even you have experience, no shit, accidents do happen, no matter you're experienced or NOT!

  • I lost half my face... dont worry a day later I lost my testicle

  • I hope no one actually takes this guys advice, this person should be limited to public transport only and have his tongue removed!

  • FUCK! lol i got a bike a couple months ago and have had some close calls. this video doesnt help lol

  • Good to show for education my respect ! Live and learn

  • YOU CRASHED ON UR BMX BIKE BECAUSE YOU HAD UR HEAD STUCK UP SOMEONES ASS'' DUMB SHIT

  • Thanks for the positive message. I always wear most protective gear, but here in Miami some 80% of riders (both scooters and bikes) do not wear protective gear at all.

  • @AxonV2 90% ive only seen like 2 or 3 within the past year wearing protectiive gear most dont even where a helmet

  • @1shadowfang8

Helm shouldnt be a problem, leather/textile jacket just goes over your tshirt ook sweater, gloves shouldnt be a problem, there are very nice denim jeans with hip, knee, butt etc protectors that look just like ordinary jeans, and then the boots... You shouldnt walk around on these all day xD just bring a pair of sneaker ans swap boots at school :D

  • Always clean new tires with Aceton or alcohol! =D

  • Need to look out for those new tires. Very slippery.

  • hey glad to see you're ok man. All gear all the time rog haha

  • im subbing btw :)

  • ouch man.

  • All The Gear All The Time

  • this is a good video but pause the video at 2:11. are you commando comrad?

  • your zipper is open

  • @TheModerator367 boxers don't have zippers?

  • Ran across this video and found it interesting. What I find interesting is someone who said they are an expierence ride "Gunned it a little bit in a Corner" is an absolute No No. Corner + Throttle + New/Cold Tires = High Side Every Time. This is more about the rider's bad judgement in 2 areas No Gear and Poor Bike Control.

  • In 1992 my dad was working at a car dealership here in town, and he was washing his bike on his lunch break. Well he had forgot that he used a hose with a wax gun on the body, and went to pull the bike off to park it. Next thing that happened was him sliding across the patch of waxy water out into the street, bike bell on the throttle and made it stick, and he was underneath it with the back tire burning skin off his arm. That was the day he stopped riding and said he would never ride again.

  • Damn, I looked more beat up than that recently, having taken a crash just RUNNING! Took a jump off a bank with an immediate hard right, only my shoes didn't make the turn. Ground was wet, mossy and had no friction at all. Arms slid out too, most annoying, so didn't protect. Down, and - WHACK - bounced off the hip and hit the head. Couldn't see out of right eye for three days, permanent scar.

I'm a biker too, shows - hitting the ground without protective gear even running can hurt bad.

  • show the scraps on your chest, dont be shy let the bird outta that cage

  • you are a very honest individual. thanks for the education.

  • I feel your pain man, I pulled my bike out the garrage and went literally 10 feet around the corner to my front door with nothing on and lo and behold I ate shit.

  • Everyone will crash their motorcycle at some time, its want you learn from it,that will keep you alive.

  • I just had a low speed accident on the freeway 11-23-2011. With over 30 years riding experience. One second is was up next second down and rolling. I give up riding after this. Too old for any more accidents. Thanks, Captain Adam Harrison

  • You are commended for doing this video. It is a demonstration of you goodness.

  • ZOMBIE! Literally look like an extra from Dawn of the Dead with that road rash.....seriously though glad you are safe.

  • Wow...those head and chin lumps look bad. Hope you had that checked out...

Humans are fragile and motorcycles are replaceable...

  • Thanks brotha.

  • You are a badass for posting this. Way to go man.

  • I've fallen off my skateboard at those speeds. I know what that feels like.

    Haven't crashed my motorcycle.

  • I really appreciate your videos and ones like this send a very strong message to our fellow riders out there. I have been a Rider Safety Coach for the last six years and stress the purpose of riding gear over and over but sometimes the young and the old are just stuborn. So cheers to you for sharing your video. I hope you are are all healed up now... Wear that protective gear even on the block and easy on the throttle...

  • DUDE! You got banged up badly.

  • usually a brand new tire has the mold release still on it, and it makes it slick. usually people burn the tire out to get the mold release off to ensure a grippy tire is exposed underneath. glad to see you are ok, and hope other people are humbled from this video and understand that they are a toy, but you need to be safe.

  • Dude, first off, glad you're not too jacked-up from that accident. Same thing happened to me in a sense. I always wear a helmet and the one "nice" day I didn't, some fu*ktard redneck in a pick-up truck runs me off of the road from behind because he's fu*king around with his phone.Long story short, 2 miles from my house, low-speed accident, lucky to be alive. ALL YOUR GEAR, ALL THE TIME. Leave the squid to their own choices...

  • hell man, i feel so bad for you. i was cut off at 60km/h just coming home from a starbucks less than a mile from home. i figure, hey just getting a coffee around the bloc, i had my coffee and coming back it happened..lessoned learned ALL YOUR GEAR, ALL THE TIME.

i just got back on this week. i have to winterize it soon though,

i hope youve recovered by now..

  • My little brother wants to get into riding because of his big brother Im gonna show him this... Thanks for posting. Godspeed.

  • @Zero1RR

Accidents happen... But that doesn't mean you should try and scare someone out of doing something.

(Not saying that you are) but that's how it sounds.

  • sweet fake makeup...

  • @RustinGresiuk You really are a moron aren't you?

  • @RustinGresiuk your an idiot straight up.

  • @RustinGresiuk look near his right elbow (to your left) and see there is a scrape there. He did not show it in anyway or feature it. If it was fake he would not have that there.

  • OUCH! I crashed on my road bicycle around 15 mph and some how lucked out big time. Wasn't wearing a helmet and all I had on was a t-shirt and gym shorts but somehow managed to not get scraped up too bad. The worst part of mine was a giant swollen knot on my leg. Its scary how much a difference 5 mph more can make...

  • wow ranga blood is extremley red looking haha :)

  • Thank you for the video!

  • that's what's up dude our bike are dangerous and we will get banged up once in a while but it looks like you took it like a champ bro. im glad to see you're all right man.

love you , miss you, proud of you! lmao peace!

  • Comment removed

  • Well done posting this video. Even if you save 1 riders life I think it was worth it. The same thing happened to me 2 years ago. I had my GEAR on thank god. Ride safe!

  • American Apparel +1

  • 2:11 I totally saw in your shorts ;) lol

  • We can see your hairy ass crotch at 2:11

  • always use helmet

  • This is fake you big nose freak

  • I bet you chopped the gas when it started to slide, Bad Idea! As Kenny Robert said. Nobody ever lost it getting on the gas! Same for high speed wobbles. Just something to remember when your riding motorcycles or racing them.

  • New rear wheel and you gunned it. Are you fuckin' stupid? Lots of motorcycle tires can be pretty slick for the first few kilometers, especially when they are cold.

  • HEY Sorry to hear about your mishap. I just posted this on My FB where many of my moto buddies lurk. Thanks for your efforts if it keeps one rider safe it serves a purpose.

  • YOUR FACE GODDAMNIT!!!

  • Thanks for the video. This is exactly what they teach you in MST. ALTGATT, cuz you are not a fortune teller and you don't know when you will get your chance to experience skin hitting the pavement. While gear is hot in the summer, the pain you will feel when your skin is missing, or you slid on your ass and your ass is missing.

  • LOL

  • Thanks for posting your story. Helps people decide whether or not to wear their gear before riding... Hopefully it's always wear the gear.

  • dude i comes when you dont expect it

  • No helmet? or did that happen with a helmet? confused here...

  • I wear my leather jacket, gloves, and helmet all the time; sure it's an oven when your stuck in traffic on a 90 degree day in Chicago, but it's a small price to pay for being safe, especially since I just started riding. Sorry to see your pain.

  • Those fresh shoes are mighty slick for a few miles aren't they? Watch the throttle and brakes both when riding on them.

  • i hope you suffer a brain injury

  • @elcorro534 Why would you hope that? you peace of shit.

  • Most importantly...Was the bike injured?

  • Man its wild to think how a few seconds to slip on a helmet would save your face.

  • my cousin died a few hours ago in a crash bc he had no gear on. he would still be alive right now if he was wearing gear. dress for the crash not the ride!!!

  • If your wounds are an hour old, why are they still red, wet and open? Did you tear the scabs off to do the video?

  • what the fuck put a band aid on that shit.

  • Have you thought sought doing a split screen comparing this lower speed spill without gear versus the 80mph spill leaving Mexico City with full protective gear just to demonstrate how effective that stuff is?

  • pause @ 0:16 he looks weird lol

  • first fall is never the last, there are old riders and bold riders but no old bold riders lol!! now ya know,

  • This is a fantastic video showing people what will happen when you crash your bike without your gear.

  • Us sport bike riders know every time we leave the driveway we might not make it back. Even on a hot day straight clear black top road going 120 miles per hour all it takes is some slick or oil on the roadway & your going down . Even if im alright my $14,000 bike with 18 more payments is gonna be screwed. Paying for a bike you can't ride sucks !

  • This is a nice message to people who ride and consider riding. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET. The scrapes on your knee's, hands, and chest will heal, but having brain damage will always stick with you.

Glad you were going slow or it could have been much worse.

  • dang man, sucks but its just another notch in your belt now. I wear my gear most of the time. Decided not to on a nice hot day while I too was repairing a bike and took it for a quicky ride to test it out. Ended up 40feet from where i was riding once the 91 year old man in a v8 plowed me. ended up scared and banged up, honestly I couldnt care less. Guess im getting older but I see scars as merit badges for living. Nobody is getting out of life alive anyways...

PS zip your pants before blog

  • @FreedomisHistory

Yeah make that scarred. lol not scared.

  • Thank you for manning up and posting up a video like this to warn others. You never know when it may happen to you, and you are lucky to still walk, doesn't matter if it's 15 mph or 150 mph, it can still hurt or kill you. Ride safe buddy!

  • all i wanna say to people who see this comment and watch your video is that wear the gear all the time even if ur going to just touch ur bike safety first take care buddy god bless you :)

  • hi there

i dont know u personally but after listening to u i feel u r a bit same like me , i am being riding bikes for 6 years now and had not met with an accident a single time but this sunday i was about 10 KM/hr when a car just smashed into my bike this was just near to my house and i was also not wearing protective gear on my body except the helmet the helmet saved me and i got all my body restructured never seen myself like this i am having such same feeling like what u have in ur video

  • Yes full kit "There are old riders, there are bold riders but there is no old bold riders."

  • Credit for admitting your error and posting this.

Two kinds of bikers in the world:

    1. Those that have gone down

    2. Those that are going down

  • u can totaly see his dick when he sitts back down lol

  • did you use the rear brake at all when the highside happened? Highsides are my current #1 fear when riding nowadays, it's not fun, i know (:(). glad you didn't hit your head too hard

  • you got lucky dude. count your blessings and wear leathers now.

  • At least you're ok.

  • Hmmm, crashed my bike.....Do I...........(a) Clean the wounds up, (b) Seek medical assistance, (c) get the bike fixed up, or (d) make a video and post it on YouTube about my "experience". Jeez!!!

  • Did that once on a gixxer, put on my wheels with new rubber, even put a sticker on the dash to remind me. 3.rd turn I got to forgot all about it, gunned it and did a big whoopie. Managed to save it though. Lesson learned.

  • why didnt he clean up the blood first? go to a doctor then make a video lol

  • I kinda regard it like I do my bicycle. Basically if I'm going over 10mph, put on a helmet. I don't think I've gone around the residential block without a helmet.

If I'm going to leave the neighborhood, I'll put on a jacket too. If I'm doing a long distance ride, I'll put on overpants too.

  • Dang Dude!

  • Thank heavens that you just have stitches and scratches! It's nice to see someone taking the positive ( sending a message to other riders ) out of the incident- a nice quality! Take care!

  • Glad that you didn't get hurt too bad, but this just goes to show that everyone should practice ATGATT:

All The Gear, All The Time

    Ride safe!

  • bless man

  • Gravity is really against you at slower speeds. At lower speeds you actually fall more directly to the surface. The momentum is more vertical to the surface. Falls at higher speed (if lucky to not hit anything) its momentum is more horizontal, not towards the ground. Speed doesn't kill, its the sudden stop.

  • Great vid, thanks for posting this up especially right after the fact....very bold, good on you. Scrub those tires off next time, but you probably know that now.

    Ride safe!

  • Surprise. New tires are slick.

  • Good video bro. Ride safe

  • dude keep safe man i hope your ok

  • I'm not sure I could do the same as you (first, ride without gear, second post the results on YouTube), so congrats on the courage and the ability of recognising your mistake. I also don't take any chances, even when I rode across the country in 40 degree weather. Hope you've recovered well.

  • It'd be funny if you crashed on purpose like this so you can get views trying to collect that quarter from a view.

  • @fitzychevy Best way to look at it is half helmets offer half the protection, I know I have worn and crashed with both. Funny thing is that I didn't have twice the injuries with the half helmet like you would expect. I did have injuries all right, but with the full face I had NONE! So not only does a half helmet offer half the protection, look at it from another perspective. A half helmet offers 50% protection, a full helmet offers 100% protection. Which one would you rather wear?

  • Not your fault dude. New tires are slick till they get some miles on them due to the release agent from the mold during manufacture. I've seen good riders go down just a few miles after picking up brand new bikes for this vary reason. I try to warn everyone that rides. Stay safe.

  • verry good video, i hope people listen to you. i have been ridding for 33 years and will not ride without gear ever. hope your healing well, the bike can be fixed.

  • You said it -- All The Gear All The Time! It sucks in the summer here in SE Texas, but while I may bet hot, I don't get as hot as third degree burns.

  • do you think that the facial wounds would still have occurred with a half helmet? my brother and i are getting our motorcycle licenses kinda around the same time and i am buying a full face and he just bought a half helmet (cause he likes the "cruiser badass biker" look and i being the cautious big brother i am i tried talking him into a full face but he just wont listen to me because he's being a typical 16 year old not listening to his 22 year old little more experienced big brother

  • watch between 2:05 and 2:12 . you can see his dick....

  • thanks for sharing that experience..i sometimes get lazy and go without my jacket just down the store for some smokes..im thinking im taking my jacket from now on even in the hot southern california sun lol : ]]

  • I draw on your experience and never Get on my bike without a helmet at least.

  • i go downhill @ 45mph+ on my bicycle...no crash yet, but knock on wood (:

  • ouch ive had hands like that many times :)

  • Reality check!! Thank you! I hope no internal injuries, how is your bike? Ron in JAX

  • @rayers0427 Just a broken footpeg. Frame sliders took most of the damage.

  • Many of those wounds look quite familiar. LOL.

  • Good thing ur nose protected ur face in the crash XD

  • How is he flaunting his own stupidity? He's made a video talking about his bad decision not to wear gear and is trying to get other people from making the same mistake.

  • you failed with color...

  • wow no helmet?

  • Almost a Darwin award! Keep it up and you'll get there sooner than you know!

  • This video is really smart to put up, Thank you very much for posting this video!

Im getting a bike in say a month.. and i was going to ride around my Neighborhood without gear but this changes my thoughts completely..!

    Thank you again!

  • @darknessfa1s I used to ride the bike wearing only a helmet around the neighborhood to heat the chain up before applying chain wax. AtlasRider's video changed my mind.

  • @CycleDoc675 Glad to see he helped you as well my friend! I getting my ninja in less than a year! so im glad i did watch this.

  • Ease up on the makeup there, unless you wanna go into making horror movies?

Oh and one tip, if you want to lie shamelessly to a camera try not to look down all the time.

  • How you feelin' now, chief? Did you really need to experience it first hand to know the affects - did you learn your lesson?

Oh and btw, not sure if you know that you're doing it, but it's really annoying how you keep hitting your hands against the table.

    Ride safe.

  • "had a lot of experience"..not enough to know that you should put 100km or so on the new tire before you can "gun it"..well..that's more experience for you. ride safe bro.

  • I always dress at least as much as master chief.

  • Thanks you for posting this! great lesson for the ignorant.

I crashed 50m from my home doin wheelees in my jeans. I might as well have been naked..... I ALWAYS wear my leathers!

  • Same thing happened to me, drove my CBR 400 up a slight hill in 3rd, lost some power, shifted down to 2nd, got up to speed again - and STUPID, instead of shifting up to 3rd again, I dumbassly shifted down to 1st and the bike just through me off!! I also skidded about 3 meters and - no gear except a helmet - tore up my knees and hands. NEVER AGAIN will I drive without gear.

  • Glad you're ok. All the gear, all the time. I say this as someone who crashed on a freeway (on the way to work) and got up with minor impact damage thanks to my custom leather armored suit, gloves, helmet, etc. Went to work the next day no problem.

Thanks for sharing this video. Be safe. :)

  • You know when you fall no matter with or without gear if you have any wounds they should be cleaned right away ...

  • Flys down dude....

  • that sucks but it happens its sort of like a reality check

  • The danger of a motorcycle is very clear. 2 wheels, you go fast, you might fall. Motorcycles are death machines, fun ones, but death machines all the same. this seems to be you flaunting your own stupidity; if you fall and live, suck it up and get to buffing those fairings.

  • @getoffmycac they are not death machines, just another means of dying. There are many other things that are more likely to kill you than a motorcycle. At least with a motorcycle you will go out enjoying life, rather than sitting in a cage rotting away and then dying in it or on a death bed rotting away wishing to die. Faster and faster till the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death. :D

  • @getoffmycac For the first 100 miles on a new tire, pretend you're riding in the rain. Take it easy on acceleration, braking and turns and you'll be fine.

  • @AtlasRider Thats a myth. Only takes a few miles to wear off the mold release, if theres any on the tires. Some manufact's don't even use a mold release anymore. FWIW, new tires on the track, we go one lap to scrub em in then its balls to the wall.

  • @Cakes982 --Partly true-if you haven't leaned the bike over after a new tire install, the sides of the tire are still slick until you do-running a couple miles in a straight line will not scubb in the sides of the tire-most of us don't have a track to do a lap on after a fresh back tire.-thanks for sharing that video-I know how humbling an experience like that can be-not something you feel like talking about right away. I am glad you didn't do more damage.

  • @getoffmycac Death machines? OK, motorcycles are statistically not as safe as cars, but the risk can be minimized. What can be done? MSF courses: basic and experienced rider. Track day school: push it to the limit. Helmet, Leatt neck brace, riding jacket, gloves, riding pants, boots. I wear all of this gear every time I ride. My Kevlar blend Motoport gear is actually quite cool. Rode in 90+ weather today. If you aren't prepared to do all of this, then step away from the bike.

  • @getoffmycac """Motorcycles are death machines"""

More people are killed in or by cars every year than motorcycles, on average of ten times more.

  • @getoffmycac if anything is a death machine it would be the thousands of cars on the roads threugh the world... more people are killed in car accidents or killed by cars than motorcycles, boats, aircraft, sharks, and extreme sports each year, its been statistically proven... just saying

  • atlas i always wear pants, gloves and a helmet, if it doesnt have a seat belt. lol let it be a scooter, bike ,or my car you never know what can happen, so guess like they say better safe than sorry next time?

  • @getoffmycac theres a very good reason MotoGP and AMA pro racers rarely ride on the road. shit they wont even ride on a track unless its considered sweeped. Motorcycles were a novelty adrenaline rush in the 70's but the roads are overpopulated with dickholes with cellphones. This guy right here says hes humbled, yeah not only by the bike but by kinetic energy as well. physics will fuck you up.

  • freakin ouch! got chills. i can imagine how much it hurts.

  • Hard luck, guy. But thank you for posting this; you may have taught others a valuable lesson. Well done and I wish you well.

    T.

  • Did you hurt your vagina?

  • Another gay fuck ass bitchhhhhh

  • greetings, i'm taking my safety course in May to begin riding. I love the 650r. so i just watched your vid on 40k review. Loved it. a lot of great info. then i saw this and man i feel your pain. thx for the info and i will take it to heart. hope all is well.

  • i know guys how look like that just being highsided by a hamburger saturday party

  • ATGATT

  • BAHAHAHAHAHA

  • What are medical bills ? Our Western European dictionairy has no such thing :o

But yeah, i'd love to ride with short sleeves and short pants but the effects of a "road rash" scares me. It's really hot in all this leather though not to mention the helmet.. I'll buy one of them German Helmets soon but how do i fix the heat in regards to clothing and stay protected at the same time ?

  • @TheRaevin To stay cool, wear thin quick wicking clothing so sweat can dry more easily. Find some gear with perforated panels or zippered vents for ventilation. I would ride in 110 heat in Phoenix with a leather jacket. It wasnt fun but I got by with the ride clothing.

  • @TheRaevin you can buy kevlar lined jeans...ive been using them for about 3 years now and they work pretty well IMO

  • dude i feel you. same thing happened to me FZR1000. cold tires in April after i brought it out of storage. you look good compared to my mishap.

  • Short Version of his Facts: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

  • to all these bikers that think their to "skilled" to crash.

there is only 1 types of riders.

the ones that have crashed and the ones that will crash! FACT

  • u cud fckin see his junk

  • @asdfghj41701 You would be looking at his junk.

  • Glad you weren't hurt worse.

  • All i can say is U R A BOSS!

  • I just hope you took this as a learning tool and know that you should have all your gear even if you are riding across the street. I have been racing bikes for a long time and I have a pretty high skill level and I dont care if I am going around the corner I wear EVERYTHING, call me a safety sally or a puss all you want but at the end of the crash who is alive to say I told ya so? dont listen to morons man protect your self and as always keep the rubber side down bro.

  • thats wat you get with new tires...\

  • thats ketchup on his face and hands..u beasted on mcdonalds lol

  • guys run that new tire down for a couple of miles!!!!!get in 100 miles before you start riding hard.oh yeah i dont care if ur moving ur bike 5 feet wear a fucking helmet

  • Hey Atlas, you mentioned a couple of key things in your video. New tire and gunning it on a corner that made you high-side. New tires always have that greasy coating on them and until you "run them in" or scuff them somewhat there is always the risk of doing exactly what happened to you. Not that that helps you now but a lesson to anyone that it may happen to.

    Safe riding, take care.

  • Thanks for the reality check. It's nice to see something negative be so positive. I was wondering what you do for a living. I'm guessing programmer based on the Perl and python books you have on the shelf. Anyway thanks for posting this and God bless.

  • dude it seems as if u're chin is swollen.....& wats da sound I keep on heraing in da back ground seriously!!??

  • You wont believe me when i say that in the philippines, a lot of riders dont wear helmets and jackets ( only their t shirts and their short pants) even on major roads. IN my opinion, its either they are so stupid or they just want to show off that they're very good riders that they dont need protective gears because they wont meet an accident.
