wat i had used when i had built my ductape dummy i used saran wrap and wrapped it where the ductape was gonna cover and then just cut the ductape off me that way you wouldnt have to go and cut off your old clothes
My HERO...Me and a buddy are int he process of building a dummy for his upcoming predator suit, and this video will come in very handy. This is probably the best duct tape dummy tutorial I've seen around. Stealth wins, again.
i used a similar technique to build a homemade mannequin. i wrapped myself in a trash bag and had my best friend wrap me in duct tape. after stuffing with polyfill, i sprayed the whole thing with aerosol bed liner afterwards to give it a strong, pliable "skin".
If you live in Alberta and you want to buy the vacuum pipe just head to totem building supplies. We are Rona's little cousin! Great video again Stealth
@tmilker I've just used a roll of plastic wrap as a base, cut off the dummy with a pair of bandage scissors (Google; they're cheap) and haven't had to lose my clothes, lol. As for stuffing, check out plastic shopping bag recycle bins at store (Cheapest). If you're thinking about using Great Stuff spray foam, DON'T! It needs air to dry and you'll end up with a gooey mess (Did it. Oops). Dead hookers work well, too (Just make sure you completely seal the suit or they start to stink)...
Is that one layer of duct tape? Also, did you wrap it around continuously (like a spiral) or did you cut and use strips at all (other than around the neck)?
@TheHeroTutorials Thanks, this is very helpful - Along with your other tutorials!
Looks like the way you have done it has more structural integrity than doing strips for the entire thing. I made mine using said method and it stated to use strips only (and doing 2-3 layers of duct tape). She's falling apart now (no piping though). Also agree with tmilker, disposable painters suit worked wonders - and cheap as chips. Now I just need to find the best way to map out "large tracks of land"...
orrrr.... u could make a female mannequin and use it as a blow up doll

@beezer387 Thanks Beezer. I went to home depot...they wouldn't cut it into smaller pieces to bring it home. I don't know why.

This is one of the best tuts I've seen for this process instead of make a body mould/mold/molde/moled...(take your pick), lol.

Hey, at about 2:13 I noticed what looks like a container of Mod Podge. Is that the stuff you've been using for doing your sealing?

A cheap painter's suit works great as an alternative to old clothes. Probably easier to cut away too.
tmilker 3 months ago
@tmilker that works too :)

Lokirathae 3 months ago
@Lokirathae yeah 1 layer Just wrap how ever you like really. I did both ways
Do whatever works to get good coverage in tight areas using strips after the spiral wrapping
