i got this 1 for like a year now and in my opinion its not really worth it. battery is very bad, it only lasts for like 5 hours of listening misic. yeh it has a nice look and the screen is nice to but the rest is like shit. ipod or iphone is alot better. Also the touch is bad :/

THIS IS SHIT...Only sms works good.. but..when I receive a fucking call, I even can't awnser it, cause I dont hear the person and can't even Talk..... So I don't recommand that cellphone... My piece of shit "chocolate" phone snapped in my jeans pocket while bending over.

I'm on a 3 year plan, and the phone is quite obviously not capable of surviving 3 years.

Telus's stance is that they are the service provider and cant do anything about it.Call LG

LG's stance is the warranty is up.Call Telus.

Seems they have quite the little loophole to avoid responsibility.

Does anyone know of any class action lawsuits against telus for this kind of ignorant bullshit? pm me if so.

Just bought it. (Europe version unlocked). Well it has some issues.

first of all in java applications there is a virtual keypad that get half the screen and you cant remove it. So in 99.9% of applications you will use half the screen.

Second and more serious is that it has a very low cache memory so sometimes as you use it for web pages etc you will encounter the "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY" message and the browser will turn to... text mode!

Opera browser sucks on this device.

What is the lowest cost rate plan for it?

im pretty sure you have to get a smartphone plan, i used to have a $20 one but since i bought the htc hero i have to use a min. of $50 plan.

another bad thing is if u want caller display you have to get it with unlim texting which is $15. so if u want this phone with telus chances are you will have to pay at least $50

You definitely could, they will want you to get the data plan for the phone, but you really do not need it. you could get a normal phone plan, but you will have pay per use data etc. so sometimes it ends up being cheaper for the other plan if you use internet etc. im not sure how telus works, but you may need to pay more for the phone at the start if you do not get the data plan. but i guess you can find that part out :D Good luck

I've had this device for a few days now. It's fun. The screen is really the highlight. Colors are crisp and bright. The design is unique. Very slim. The touch UI is good. Not perfect. It does lag a little but runs well most of the time. You figure similar devices are selling for about 20% more, but LG always offer good value for a fair price. The cam is good as well. The music player is quite nice as well and has an original interface. Sexy and fun for sure!

Originally, I was with Rogers, but then I switched to Telus just to get this phone. I signed up with a 3 year student plan and this phone did not cost me a cent.

Menu>Settings>Touch Keypad> The bottom one in the list is called "Sensitivity Level" You can set it to high, medium, or low.

I don't know why you mentioned your menus lagging in your comment though.. because this won't help that, just how your touchpad responds. But yeah, Venus are just REALLY lagging.. their processors suck.
