I don't really listen to Bloc Party, but I must side with them on this one. The facts: Oasis let down a paying audience due to their own egos getting in the way. Liam insulted BP first. He and Noel have been slagging people off for years. Contrary to what some of you said, they HAVE made it personal at times. If you can't take it don't dish it ouy. Some of these comments are really pathetic. For all the claims of BP being jealous, most of you just sound jealous of BP.

I just like whatever music i enjoy and I think both of their music is brilliant. oasis and bloc party are too different to compare in my opinion. I do know that Oasis is I mean definately maybe is one of my favorites. I love bloc party's music as well though, i feel almost the same about silent alarm. Its like comparing Kings of leon to TV on the radio. They are both talented, just different. so you can't dislike one genre and immediately write it off as shit. just say you dont like it.

They were songs that could change your emotion, which is my criteria for good music. Fair enough Oasis aren't your cup of tea, but they did inspire a generation to pick up guitars... people forget what the music scene was like at the time(practically non existent) and for this i think they deserve far more credit than what they are given by music fans. I'll admit that the way Kele (lead singer) called them inbred is a bit underhand, but in 2007 Oasis had gave them shit during an interview, so its an eye for an eye. In my opinion Oasis had a couple of brilliant songs, but have since been riding on the success of those songs rather than continue to make good music. Bloc Party show more musicianship, and are constantly changing their sound to try and further their musical horizons as a band; popularity differences don't matter, the music matters

Sure Oasis did have their 15 minutes in the mid 90's when they stood on top of the music world, something few rock bands will accomplish.
