  • Just more proof that Macho is synonymous with Asshole. Basically they see women as lesser valued persons to be controlled and kept in their place.

  • Honestly I don't get Brazil. You can basically wear anything you want or not want on the beach, and even show just about everything on television, but albeit a little tight still covering it all up when you're in public? HUH? That place is doomed anyway. They have more of an obsession with plastic surgery than the states does, and they are a pretty attractive people already.

  • I wasn't aware that human legs were obsene. What is obsene is a supposedly civilized and educated mass of "people" fueled by what I assume must be jealousy into an animalistic mob mentality. Each and every one of these dummies will eventually be asking themselves "what the hell were we thinking?"

  • hehe is ur name > Habeeb? XD

u look like one of them muslim fucks xD

    hahaha

ure muslim and u defend women? i thought mohammed had a 9 yr old wife

  • Personally, as a woman, I thought you looked fine. The university and its students should be ashamed for the way they treated this lady. People grow up, act like adults!

  • are you fucked in the head? namesurname, this is a totally sexist argument. Any guy could wear anything to school, but as soon as a girl wears something deemed slutty and distracting, its because men act like dogs and instead of ignoring them or aproaching them to talk about the issue they have with the girl, the ENTIRE UNIVERSITY NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED!

  • Guys never wear obscene dresses at places of learning. If you know even a single Web page showing a guy wearing an obscene dress in a school or college, post the URL of the page right here.

And what do you mean by ignoring? Tomorrow, a girl will come almost naked in a school, and you will ask boys to ignore it? Stupid ignoring!

It is the duty of each and every individual to fight against vulgarity and obscenity. To fight something bad, it does not matter whether somebody is a guy or girl.

  • i completely agree with u namemsurname :)

  • Thank you. : )

  • Her expulsion was absolutely right. It is unfortunate that the principal was pressurised to reinstate her in the school.

One should have some sense of what to wear at what place. Such actions are necessary to prevent sexual attraction at places of learning.

Besides this, obscene clothings are the main cause of increasing number of pre-marital and extra-marital relationships, group sex, and sex parties. This is nothing but... animalism. Bloody dogs and bitches...!

  • It wasn't just what she was wearing, she was acting like a complete whore. the students were just stating the obvious in unisism. She wanted to be the center of attention....well, she got it. and ive got $100 saying she's going to be posing for playboy very soon

  • well said :-) I feel sorry for her. nobody should get a treatment like that. I hope things work out better for her.

  • this is university like trash!!!shit university

  • For people like you who are addicted to obscenity, universities are like trashes and bars are like heavens. Isn't it...? This is the problem of your dirty mind. Nothing else. Perhaps, you have been brought up in a too liberal environment.

If students like Gisey Arruda are not expelled from schools and colleges, a day will come when schools and colleges will have fully converted to bars and brothels.

  • It's nothing to do with the mini-skirts. It's part of human nature to look for a victim to persecute, and the minority (in this case, a girl who dresses against the norm) has always been an easy target.

Sinners are always among those who cast stones - the christians are still agressively doing this despite Jesus' " Those who have no sins cast the first stone.'' You say this to a Christian today,he or she will shout ''We are cleansed & godly, we are in Christ, we are in the light...

  • @FyFhFr25 please don't lump all Christians together with zealots. I'm christian, and I don't believe that was appropriate clothing for a place of learning, but no one has a right to tell a grown woman what she can and can not wear. Her taste is questionable, but the school and students were wrong.

  • Like thevapour said below, is the same image that we ( brazilians ) have from USA. Brazil isn´t just prostituiton and orgy. You cannot say anything without visit the country. The students and the university made wrong to expelled her, because I see some videos, images and movies from the USA Universities and this clothes are normal there.

Sorry but my English is not very well, because I AM BRAZILIAN and I love it soo much !

  • Oh, I see... that makes sense. I heard that the college is going to have to take her back now, that's a good thing.

  • Patricio,

    (1) You said that a university is a place to welcome new ideas. This is right. But, it is not a place to welcome obscene and sensual ideas.

    (2) You said that the dress did not seem revealing to you. This may be because you are addicted to obscenity. And if you are addicted to obscenity, then it does not mean that everybody else is addicted to obscenity.

    (3) You showed a TV footage in which girls are dancing in micro bikinis. It is so foolish to compare a bar with a school.

  • This really makes me fell ashamed of being Brazilian...

I believe that generally speaking our society encourages small clothes but what happened with this girl was that that "university" is located in a very orthodox area so that's why those students were harassing her...

My country is too big and full of non-logical discrepancies...

  • kbdman,

I don't get this at all. Why did the other students care? Is it a religious thing and she has violated a rule in a very religious area? Is the simple image of Brazil as a place with zero modesty that we have in the US wrong? Everything I've ever heard about Brazil was like that: Prostitution is legal, the big beach orgy, etc. Even if the other students didn't like it, why would they make such a big deal about it?

    Can you explain it?
