I end up watching some of these Bill O'Reilly clips because of the guests... then once I get past about 1 minute of listening to O'Reilly even talk and the disrespect he shows and the way he loves listening to his own voice makes me stop watching it about half way through. I read a report where it talked about how most hardcore drug users--people abusing crack, meth, crank, etc.--were raped or molested or abused as children. I don't think they should say pot is a gateway drug; rather they should say abuse, rape, molestation lead to hardcore drug abuse. But, that would be asking a lot of critical thinking from non-drug users.

can dispute this but he is still a prominent cultural voice and
unbelievably intelligent person. Listen to his show. He is a
walking encyclopedia. I disagree with him on several issues
including the marijuana issue but I very much enjoy his show
format and the volumes of information he presents daily.

Nope, not an officially Christian nation. The colonists & the "founding fathers" were sick to death of the Church Of England & the King who was the head of it. They wanted people in America to be free to practice any form of prayer or religion they choose & the govt. would not mess with them, not even tax them. Founding fathers were a mix of agnostics, deists and even a man named Washington who finally & very smartly stopped attending church altogether. He was sick of the bullshit they peddled.

I like Medved, but he is wrong about the founding fathers. Most of them were Deists, and many of them disparaged Christianity openly. Don't believe me? Research it for yourself. Jefferson, Paine, even Washington spoke against Christianity.

Well, I know Jefferson was a deist, and Paine might have been, but i think you are wrong about Washington. I'm not saying he wasn't critical of Christianity in some ways, but he was very much a Christian. I have read several of his writings where he declares it openly. Check out his tomb. He has scripture written on it that he wanted that is very Christian.
Jefferson is a well-known deist, but most of the founders were, in fact, Christians.

he's a talk radio conservative which annoys me
but, he's intelligent, and his show is interesting to listen to.
he doesn't like callers that agree with him, he mainly has disagreeing liberals for callers and doesn't cut them off with commercials when he's under pressure
he also debates very prominent liberals on his show
not only is that rare for right wing radio but rare for the media in general

That's completely untrue... Prager debates, they all debate on Conservative radio far more than you'll ever see on something like AirAmerica. It's completely common to hear them invite disagreement and to put those people who disagree at the front of the line. And ditto that for Fox versus LSDNBC.
Someone Rhandi Rodes though... It's all insults and muting people and talking over them and cutting them off.

I read a report where it talked about how most hardcore drug users--people abusing crack, meth, crank, etc.--were raped or molested or abused as children. I don't think they should say pot is a gateway drug; rather they should say abuse, rape, molestation lead to hardcore drug abuse. But, that would be asking a lot of critical thinking from non-drug users.
