  • Mos Def+Talib Kweli x Madlib = Sum GOOD FUKKN MUZAK!!! All U suckas that say hip-hop is dying b cuz of all the bullshit out today need to realize that true talent will always prevail. Our favorite artists (KRS, WU, DOOM, PETE ROCK, GANG STARR, SLICK RICK and so on and so on) got this far b cuz of talent. In 10 years lets see where Soulja Boy, Drake, those "Jerk" boys, and D4L end up. Will anybody even care? It's amazing that the artists from the late 80's early 90's are stil doin it. YEAH!!

  • LMao @ D4L they stunk the joint up like smelly Azzholes! I agree with everything you said! its cause of fans like you Hip HOp stays alive! Like Mos Def Said at the begining of black on both sides " Hip Hop is goin where the people are Goin!"

  • are you guys fighting over whether mos def has changed??! :S :p - this is obviously his best work but can i say he as a person has changed? hes grown up alot but he still is a bit self involved - he always has been! :/ its just a shame cos he has alot of talent and he cant apply it the way i hoped he would..! :(

  • I understand where you're coming from. Respect.

  • r.i.p. dilla dawg!

  • I'm not saying this to make a point. However I do think I deserve a little credit. I've been listening to hip hop for like almost thirty years. I respect mos def and talib kweli. I already own the album. I always but the albums. I want to hear what the artists are doing. I'm not crazy about it. I don't see the evolution. I'm not saying thats an easy thing to do as an artist. And I'm not saying that other hip hop artists don't hit a plateau and then peter out. I just think mos def has.

  • I agree with mr.swine, loads of artist do... i wonder why..

  • Thank you johnnyp8x that's all I'm saying. It's not bad, just the same. Lazybitchray, I am 35 years old. I saw run dmc on the king of rock tour with the beastie boys opening up for them in 1985. I saw big daddy kane on his fist tour. I've seen BDP slick rick public enemy epmd red man das biggie smalls wu tang tribe called quest fugees de la soul roots digable planets rob base and dj easy rock kid and play cypress hill mos def and talib kweli jeru the damaja eric b and rakim. I'm not exagerating.

  • dont get me wrong swineburn ,no dissrespect...but hh is timeless...music is timeless and when u say its not much evolution here i get pissed because"evolution is the end of all" u know what i mean? look at the music industry, its fuckup, its full of blingbling&Wackness, a sea full of shit!!!

and when i listen 2 this stuff

its like i make holyday on a island...

4me blackstar is this little island, i love 2 go there and think about the good ol days...

    sorry about my weak english!!!

    PEACE

  • DILLLLLLLLLLA

  • we need another load of classics such as definition, respiration, theives in the night and REdefinition

    give us another album!

  • This is my jam.

  • It's OK. The thing that bothers me about these guys is that they never evolved out of the snapping fingers Flatbush Brooklyn poetry reading style from back in the mid 90s. Not much evolution here. I know I'm going to get all these nasty emails but it's my opinion. Sounds the same. I like the production.

  • Most of rap/hip hop has "evolved" backwards. These guys are still the best.

  • you should just change your email notifications. then speak your mind & be honest...

  • i gave u a thumbs up cuz i see where u comin from with that.. stop by my myspace n checkout my new song "Rearrange" NICK RITZER

  • i think i know where your coming from bro they got a formula and if it aint broke dont fix it you know? Common was the one guyz in that Native tongue posse the "evolved" and tho he's getting paid the music is pretty wack. your right more of the same but still good.

  • Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek have reunited for a REflection Eternal reuinon album. Now Talib Kweli and Mos Def need to collaborate again for a Black Star Album

  • aint that the truth....

  • hells yeah

  • they are making another album together

  • rly? know when its coming out, what the name of it is?

  • they dont got a name for it yet but its supposed to come out next year so be on the look out

  • I mos defenitly will =D thank ya bro, I just loved when they made songs as Black star

  • me too hip hop NEEDS another black star album

  • r u sure mayne? if so i cant wait

  • yea i am pretty sure about it

  • ok ok we'll see then dawg

  • great track... bringin back some black star

  • one of my fav songs in the album.

  • This is crazy....BlackStar where you at...

  • This is dope.

  • Lets see another BlackStar Album Please!!!!!

  • they are read it in rolling stone

  • i was about to say talib stole the song then mos spit another 20 seconds or so at the end lol

  • This is it. This is real hip hop. They should be playing this on the radio and on tv but of course they won't. This is a great song off an album of great songs. Probably the best cd i have heard in a long while.

  • they wont play it cuz they want to dumb the general population by shit like "chicken wing" or "stanky leg" or "i wanna eff every girl in the world" type of bull shit.

  • Amazing hip-hop right here, if you like this listen to Auditorium off the album, shit is hot...Anyone have the lyrics for this song?
