  • this will go on for years to come ,you cant even get politicians to discuss it let alone legalize

  • I like this, but I disagree that marijuana is a "recreational drug." This may be true for some users, but for many users it is a much more subtle experience of transcendence and a spiritual experience.

  • ive never seen a more brilliant video. everything that needed to be said was said. and what a sweet man

  • See here is what I don't understand, the government is in place to protect Americans and their interests. So then why do they make something illegal that does no harm. There is no basis for making it illegal. If you do not wish, don't consume it. No one is going to force it on you. If it did become legal, it would just be like cigarettes, only less harmful and addicting. I don't understand our govn't. =\

  • Wow. A cop I respect.

  • well this is good but he is still a faggot for saying it was bad when he was in the position to maybe be able to change but now that he doesnt need/want the money since he is reitred so he is still a hypocrite

  • great video

  • When I turned 21, I actually stopped drinking and started smoking. Since then Marijuana has completely revamped my life. I've gotten the motivation and positive attitude to lose weight, and I am now advancing to a pretty high-tier Management position with my company. Where is the harm? It's been proven time and time again that Marijuana is safer than Alcohol, even cigarettes. I bought the book and can't wait to finish it, about halfway through. I'll keep smoking, to me its a safer alternative.

  • The Chief is a smart guy, and it's obvious from his argument and his point of view is invaluable to that argument.

I know 88% of Murders, alcohol was in the murder's system or was involved. I don't see potheads stabbing each other, lol. Even if you hold the strongest stereotypes against them.

So, lets see if legalization would help the budget problem in this country. There's a lot more we have to do, but this seems like a good idea. I have read many studies that show legalization lowers use.

  • Yea i love it when somebody spews shit out of their mouth tryin to say weed is horrible and is a gateway drug...yadayadayada...while they have a cocktail in their hand and a cigarette in their mouth talkin about i dont do drugs..

Alcohol, tobacco, rx drugs, caffeine, and processed foods are worse for us than weed, but the gov't says all these things are ok....

i may have been born at night, but it wasnt last night...ill take weed anyday...

  • thank god its not just the younger generations that think weed is safer than alcohol

  • @pinkystenis sadly, i know many people who think that alcohol is less harmful because it's legal, or they don't accept when someone smokes weed because it's illegal...

  • @Mussi93 If I had a penny for everytime I met someone like that I'd be rich! It really annoys me, peoples ignorance towards cannabis when they heavily consume alcohol. Its like a herion user telling a cocaine addict not to use cocaine as it may kill them... stuipid

  • I dont like her voice

  • Where could I get that book?

  • FREE EDDY LEPP, CHARLES LYNCH and MARC EMERY [and from extradition]; and SUPPORT JACK HERER and RICK SIMPSON!!!!

  • that bastard wrote my book!! lol

  • Dutch adults smoke less 420 than N.Americans. Why? The Dutch gov't has managed to make it boring and removed the 'forbidden fruit' aspect of the plant.

  • I beleive the government's best interest should be the safety and well being of its people. Making Pot legal would obviously create an oppourtunity for people to make a safer choice to become intoxicated. But what about the "failed" drug war? Crack, PCP, Meth, Cocaine, Heroin are so addictive that many people steal rob and sell their bodies to get their fix. These drugs create junkie parents and disfuntional familiies. So what should be done with people who posess and use these drugs?

  • lets treat them as adicts, not criminals, make their drug of choice legal as well so that they can seek a clean and reason priced product from a pharmacy. That way dealers are put out of business, addicts can return to society and get treatment, and crime is reduced as they don't have to steal to support their habit.

  • I played around with the idea of making all drugs legal for a while. But to me, making all drugs legal or even having a doctor administer harmful drugs to addicts, is just enabling them more. I think, yes, people should be treated as addicts, but there still should be reprocussions for what they do. Courts should divert 1st time offenders to mandatory rehab, which they pay for themselves. This way the government would be forced to help, rather than purely punish or enable addicts further N2 hell

  • That would keep the cycle going, the private prisons would be turned into private rehabs, the drug war on the street would continue and it is still legal business and not health issue.

  • @1BADASSAMERICAN

hi - if we administered the drug to addicts, then people are not shooting others to control the illegal market.

Legalise drugs and we put the criminal gangs out of business.

Now for the addicts, in Switzerland they are finding that by adminstering heroin at clinics, a couple of things have happened. One - the addicts are not commiting property crime to feed their habit. that makes our streets safer. secondly - at the clinics, they have the opportunity to help users quit

  • marijuana is not addictive, marijuana users are (mostly) not addicts.

  • right, but never the less they keep the prohibition rolling n pretending that it is addictive as nicotine.

  • exciting hearing from someone of experience and authority saying that this is the "tipping point"

    :)

  • Good to see former police coming out and saying this. Its great. decriminalize now!

  • @Xamaza Should be legalised, not decriminalised. Decriminalising cannabis will barely make a difference, its still technically illegal, just the police will be a bit more relaxed about it. That is about all, there will be no medicinal or financial benefits what-so-ever. The drug war will also continue, ruining tens of thousands of innocent lives each year. We need to legalise cannabis now!

  • @Xamaza NO. Decriminalization doesn't solve all the problems. LEGALIZE!

  • finally the truth is coming out

  • where can I buy this?

  • I got a copy early Aug. at

    chelseagreen . com/bookstore

but I know it's at Amazon & probably any major bookstore online or off at this point.

Highly recommend. Would like everyone to read it.
