Oh I have a glorious flirting tip. It's called "sticky eyes", I know, weird. But this is what you do: you make eyecontact with the guy, look away and then look right back and do this sort of smilely thing. It works like a charm!! personally i've met hundreds of people in the last few years. whenever i go somewhere i make a point to talking to just about everyone but in the first few seconds you can get a feel for how the other person is but usually you have no idea what to say. that break in there gives both people time to think about what to talk about or questions to ask, also it puts a sort of urgency in the conversation so its easier and more natural to just talk or ask for contact info than standing around awkwardly

Ok. Thank you for the comments about eye contact. It has reminded me of the fact that I am cross-eyed and can, in fact, lock both my eyes with yours. Except, in my case my right eye was looking directly at your right eye and my left eye was looking directly at your left eye when it should be the other way round.
