  • Bien-Good

  • Cool editing, and interesting process.

  • @Pan3405 how do you know how long it took to the artist to get there?

  • @Globetrottoir1 That must never be the point!

  • @graciesueful good one.. so true

  • @JuliendAnce a fake what? lol a fake unique painting by this artist where you have clearly seen the process? fake painting - is that even possible? If so, then what do you define as real? It's not like a Fendi or Coach purse you buy out of some guy's trunk.

  • beautiful sensitivity to color.... screw the pretentious assholes who think this isnt painting.... ive been a painter for 15 years... this is as valid as anything. artists are so full of contention and hate these days but good artists rise above that bullshit and are supportive of each other's work... cool vid!

  • Watching this video, makes me nerves...so dont do that, I would like to watch your painting, not playing with this sh.. Thanks!!!!

  • umm how is he fake, like... is he a cardboard cutout or is the canvas actually not there or what.... some people are so weird huh... anyway great video I really loved it

  • I do representational art and abstract. I usually take less time to finish an abstract piece of work (the essence of an entity whatever it maybe ;)) But the main point im trying to get at is even if i took 100 hours on a still life, I still think my abstract has and always will be stronger due to the fact that its my own complete free little world i get to create.... I do love good art though. Regardless of genre....

  • i like it............thhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!i think the colors are great!

  • I loved this ,i just started painting a few weeks ago , i love your colors .

  • the difference between artists and art critics is one paints the other talks.

  • @icthruu4evr blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

  • whats the name of the song men..

  • This is great!!

  • Love it.

PS: Andy Warhol said "A painting is finished when it's sold"... enough said

  • also, to the who think he didn't take enough time to finish it: a painting is done when you cannot give any more to it without ruining it. is some cases the process is quick and other times it take a lifetime.

  • This is great stuff - don't listen to those who know nothing.

  • Please show me the making of the next painting!

  • Oh thank you! Now I know more about the making of a painting. Thank you very very much!!! What I ever want to know about the making of a painting. Now I know it!!!

  • Why those nusty comments? There are all sort of people, I suppose! What's fake? Reverse video, isnt fake? Yes , are bright straight colours, like few others collegues of Simon , you can see in the gallery of the webside.

    And so what?

The big selection of different style and techniques , available in youtube, give us allways inspiration.

A bit of gratitude for making a video at work by the artist, huh?!

Surely he got lots of views and some reactive responces, that reflect the persons shadow!

  • I like the video as it is done and the painting is good. It is not easy play with

    Pure Color.

  • Nice end product . I buy my canvases already made stretched etc , thank God. It saves time and today the prices of decent chassis and canvas etc is fairly cheap. How do you get on youtube? Did you pay? I would like to hoist my stuff on Youtube sometime. Anyway , welldone.

  • coloring? I suppose it could be said that all artists "color". Is an artist required to spend days on end on a painting to qualify it as art? I know I've spent weeks on a piece and also simply an hour or two. It just depends.

  • this is not painting.. this is colouring..

  • Nothing of what is shown in this video is real. The title says "painting" but this is not painting : this is faking it. And the "artist" is a fake : he has nothing to express, no skills, he is just posing, pretending to be an artist. He's a little pretentious nothing who deserves to be ignored or forgotten.

  • This is faking art, faking painting, faking skills, faking activity, faking expression. The all thing is a fake, and you also are a fake as a person.

The truth is that you pretend to be a painter and are in fact a proletarian piece of shit.

    Is it clear ?

  • for me art is a personal expression, this is a colorful expression of what he sees in his head, and to snuff out his metaphorical candle with completely un-constructive criticism is not beneficial to either you or him. you don't have to take a sh*t on other peoples work to make yourself feel better.

it's art for art's sake, who needs your opinion?

as for the artist, the last thing the world needs is more darkness and grief, thanks you for bringing more colour into the world!

  • Hi, I like your work--What kind of paint are you using? Thanks

  • Hi, if you follow the link in the info box you should get a bit more info about Simon from the gallery's website NX

  • Way cool

  • nette performance

  • Danke!

  • most excellent

  • I fell in love with the genre of acid jazz a decade ago thanks to a wonderful (now deceased) DJ here in Atlanta named Ken Beatty.

I adore the way you showed the birth of a painting and it's deconstruction. Giggled at the smile in the middle. lol

  • nice, very nice...

any idea on the name of that song?

  • I agree with the comment above, very cool vid. Loved when you got to the center of the video awesome painting too

  • I dig the split screen along with the acid jazz
