Eggs are a good symbol for new life in spring.
So are rabbits (because of how much they fuck).
How those two came together...I have no idea.
Originally this time of year people celebrated the new season and the earth.
Unfortunately, the christians sought to replace this celebration (what they thought was "pagan" worship) with their own worship of the invisible man in the sky's son's death.
Basically a completely natural celebration of the earth... destroyed and perverted by the christians

on msn's homepage it said easter started as a pagan holiday to worship the sun god, it involved a story about a bird and dropping eggs...and people colored them. Not sure how or why the bunny came into the picture lol.

@extendyourmemory Well i didn't have brain damage it was a sinus infection that gave me major migraines and my fever reached 107 I was hallucinating but that was it.

Easter used to be a celebration of fertility in France. The church made it into a celebration of the resurrection of Christ and of "new life." Bunnies (or hares) are a sign of fertility as they can reproduce like crazy. Eggs are also a symbol of fertility. That's essentially the relationship.
