  • sweeney todd is a good movie by its self and now adding hurt to like a video of some sweeney todd parts awsome

  • NIN rocks... so glad I've found another awesome band (or, one man band) to listen to!

But one question: Did Sweeney Todd kill Professor Snape at 4:12 ?!

  • brilliant the video goes sooo wel nine inch nails are class mr depp is hot xxx like cash too his version is cool x

  • <3

  • Finally this song with good quality

  • this song....perfect for my life right now and perfect for what i've made him feel....

  • Am I alone in thinking that Beetleguese was Sweeny Todd when he was alive?

  • bestsong+bestmovie=<3 o:

  • everyone i know, goes away in the end....

  • The entire time I was watching this, I couldn't help but think:

    "I love his hair."

  • @Promzo14 oh ya

  • And... I honestly have no idea how everyone in the comments are still attributing Johnny Depp to singing this song when the artist (Nine Inch Nails) is clearly credited in both the title and description. How can you click on this video with the title right there and still think Johnny Depp had anything to do with it...?

  • what he sad

  • Well, what can you say, this song. Fuck. Some songs are for dancing, some are for singing along, this is for sitting in a cold dark room, on the verge of suicide, too exhausted to even move, your thoughts crawling along with the monotone strum of the guitar.

  • @DylanBobMr You sir, should be a writer.

  • @DylanBobMr I feel like that alot....

  • @DylanBobMr Sooooooo true, that comment has just gone straight into my english essay. :)

  • @DylanBobMr Agreed. brother (Y)

  • Thank god this video doesnt have that background static in it that all the other ones do. Like, i know its part of the song and all but its frigging annoying..

  • @MarisaRosa7

I saw it, the music's good but the story kind of doesn't go anywhere.... It's an okay movie to me :)

  • @WeBelongInTheSea

    thanks

  • Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

  • Awesome

  • @kmk247420 Where did you here that rumor? :o

  • actually I'm pretty sure Johnny plays guitar....which would make him a musician plus, there are a few pics of him rocking some concerts for charities or something with other actors/musicians/artists. When you sign up for acting, you may as well enroll yourself in music and dance as well. The entertainment biz is a 3 in 1 package pretty much today. Not everyone functions under these, but the majority have more than one/two skills.

  • As far as I know Johnny Depp NEVER sang in a band. All I know is that Trent Reznor still sings with Nine Inch Nails to this day.

  • @doctorshifty83 I thought Reznor died?

  • @emmymae09 this song is amazing, and Cash knew it. They both sang the hell out of it. Both versions, are equal. Therefore, no one is better.

  • This song gives me chills especially the Johnny Cash cover. Thats pretty much why I like it.

  • I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting I try to kill it all away But I remember everything What have I become My sweetest friend? Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else... I am still right here
  • love NIN

  • creepy but good. love the song.

  • I love this.<3

  • @Wymorej Its Cash's remake. this is the original.

  • 51 people are blind and deaf idiots -_-

  • i loooove this song </3

  • This is the best video :)

  • NIN IS KING

  • it was a great music video..

  • omg the song sounds so much better on here. like it doesnt sound all bad in the beggining. I hope you guys know what im talking about.lol

  • I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!

  • I personally prefer the live version; Trent's voice is incredible, but when the whole crowd sings with him, it just sends shivers up my spine. LOVE THIS SONG

  • Loved it! Great song/movie combo...well done!

  • @cbritton1876 When i say he does sing, I meant to say he does sing in Sweeney Todd. Just to clarify.

  • I still think Johnny cash did it better. His voice just gives me chills. But i love this song.

  • Perfect song for these characters. Unbelievable song choice.

  • @NicoTeen7

Seriously. Dude needs to grow a brain.

  • Ive have watched about a hundred diff videos of this song (both NIN and Cash) and they all have the same damn arguement going on in the comments lol. Music is art, not competition. Just enjoy it

  • Like it. But Johnny Cash is better ;)

  • johnny cash did this song better... not even johnny's song but its still better

  • loved it

  • This song fits the movie perfectly! amazing job on this... Im tired of people say cashes version is better Its great but so is NIN. They are different. I think people believe that johnny cash wrote this song:)

  • the original had a touch more grit and soul. Depp does Cash justice nonetheless.

  • this is great. best song ever and i adore the movie. so yeah i love it.

  • mmmmm........ yes yes johnny deep and Trent.

    Thanks for this.

  • were to download a clean version of this song? cuz all I can find are live shows or terrible sound...

  • Beneath the stains of time

    The feelings disappear

    You are someone else

    I am still right here

  • Fucking love this song. It does go great with the video. Good job... Trent and I have these thoughts in common...

  • Wow...such a good video! The song suits the movie and the video is just...wonderful...:)

    Excellent job!

  • this is so good! :D brings out his loving side :3

  • awesome song awesome band awesome movie

  • Nice editing!

  • Thank you for making this! I love it. the song is perfect for the film. =)

  • you put together this video really well with this song good job, i give 10 stars out of 5.

  • Yeah great,,,, but really i just wanted to listen to this song and not all the other shit you've put on that comes on afterwards that wont leave until i shut my pc down you f'kin bellend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont care I love both NIN and John Cash

  • good song

  • Nice job... I just wished it focused on Sweeney's relationship with his wife and child. The song makes more sense in that aspect than it would with Ms. Lovett because Sweeney doesn't love her. He loves Johanna and his wife. Nice job though.

  • johnny''s version is better in my opinion

  • both the movie and song go together perfectly

  • this song makes me cry pretty much everytime i hear it.

  • As I recall, Trent loved Johnny Cash's cover.

  • @TheUnNerved actually, he didnt love it. Trent thought the cover was nothing special. But when he saw the music video, he loved it.

  • Greatest Movie ever made

  • @OverWarProject DAMN STRAIGHT!

  • dude, it should have ended with him throwin her into that oven. haha. but seriously badass vid bro.

  • I want pie!!!!

  • This is just what i heard from a friend of mine but was this song written For Kurt Corbain? I know for a fact that they were friends and all.

  • @RevoSociety The song's not about one person or event. It's about the problems you make in life and the pain you feel, and, in turn, the people you hurt.

  • Very nice work indeed. Decided to search for the NIN version of Hurt since I've truly yet to listen to it and wanted to give the creators their due rather than just liking Johnny Cash's cover of it.

Keep up the great work. *thumbs up*

  • like the song though the movie scares me :S

  • Wow i really like this song i just found it .

  • the scences in sweeney todd reminds me of alice in wonderland

  • do you live on the moon or something ? its sweeney todd the demon barber of fleet st

  • It's this song that motivates me to wanna say fuck it all , and just go where ever the wind takes me , Fuck laws, friends, love, Family, etc.

  • what is movie called?

  • Sweeny Todd

  • @tattmanrocko sweeney todd: the demon barber of fleet street lol

  • i found myself in a dark trance staring at the screen very moving

  • helena bonham carter is hot! This is a good song and movie, one of teh best movies I have ever seen

  • This is an ORIGINAL Nine Inch Nails song. Trent Reznor WROTE IT. Johnny Cash just remade it.

  • you do realise its not "Trents interpretation" its his song, Cash just covered it... dont believe me? then feel free to Wiki it, JC's version was OK but this one has more meaning in my opinion

  • the song goes so well with the video i love this versio of the song

  • I really love Trent's interpretation of this song... It's more "evil" than Cash version...

  • darker

  • Trent gives this (his?) song alot of emotions, but in a way i like Johnny Cash's better. He sings it wit so many emotions you could cry...He recorded this song just after his wife died, and he lets the world know he's "hurt"

  • I love that movie

  • When I heard NIN sing this song, it's creepy, Johnny Cash made it haunting.

  • When Johnny Cash heard this he must have felt what we felt when we heard it. He remade it, in his own way. He didn't want recognition for it, he died shortly after. I think he just realized that someone had already wrote the words he needed to sing. It wasn't a competition, or whos was better. It was a goodbye...sang deeply and beautifully no matter who sang it. Johnny Cash just felt hurt for different reasons, thats all.

  • Well said.

I personally like Johnny's version the most, he really made it his own and put his heart into it.

I have respect for those artists who can acknowledge other artists work, and translate it in their own way.

  • @AutumnRain333

    100% right!

  • @AutumnRain333 Johnny Cash mentioned that this song best describes the drug problems he had, and that's why he chose to cover it.

  • Your a goddamn poet!I prefer cash's version over trents but your absolutely correct!Even though I prefer one over another they both have my respect equally. If trent never wrote it Johnny could'nt of made it a master piece.

  • Hey Echo~I like what you did.Forgive my ignorance {I don't get out much} but is THIS YOUR work?Cuz I liked ST put to NIN, especially the ending movements. If the vid IS your work, good job!Keep posting for the sick phuks like me that like to watch :)tongue out

  • Yeah, I made this a while ago, actually, and thanks for the compliment!

  • @EchoStarlite Yah Echo, I am really impressed with the quality work that you did with this song. It fits really well with the story line and has NIN is able to draw you into the picture almost as if the lyrics were written for the picture.

  • cash's version in my opinion isnt better, i like this one cause its the original version, Nine Inch Nails wrote it, and i like how its more quiet, it gives it a sad feeling

  • I understand Ur feelings on this.Cash's version,2me,is JUST as sad,it's just that it's a different "sad",2me.Somehow w/Cash,I could FEEL his pain..it was palpable...after a lifetime w/his other half, 2 have her gone from his life MUST have hurt...in a way I have yet 2experience.With Rez, 4some reason, I was never convinced of that, tho I LOVE what he did!But I like what U said about "it's more quiet"..I agree! I'd like to know how U feel about others...keep posting,my friend, you have a good ear!

  • I think cash's version is better because it means something but still a good song none the less

  • ok just to clear up this johny cash nine inch nails fued...... i love johny cashes version its really good and i love to listen to it but the nine inch nails version is way more darker and just makes you have so much feeling, i think it depends on wat kind of person u r on how well u lke tis song nd by the way nice job on the vid liv tat movie nd really went wit the theme of the song

  • ... go back to school kid... learn to spell...

  • awesome compilation! check out my cover on my page =)

  • seeing johnny depp with that white stripe in his hair, makes me think of marc bolan.

  • heehee..good eye...I can see that!

  • such a beautiful song. i love nin

  • The argument about who's version is better here doesn't make sense to me. Johnny's version is about something different, but i think that's actually the mark of a good song. It can be interpreted by different people to mean different things. Now whether you think cash's version or NIN's version is better, i think credit has to be given to trent for WRITING the song. He wrote a good song which was covered by many people and if you prefer another version that's your opinion. No point arguing

  • I think they do the song better anyways. It sounds darker.

  • would have looked cool if u have left out all the parts with their lips moving, just my opinion

  • this vid goes great with the song :P

  • I love Johnny Depp in this role. This song is perfect for his character and his lust for revenge & evil. Thank you for all of your hard work.

  • Both versions are good. I don't really know nine inch nails, but johnny cash's version really sums up his life, all of his past, drugs, jail, death of loved ones, etc... so to say that he didn't understand the song is not true. And sounding tortured doesn't mean you have to sound like you have lost your vocal cords. They are both good in their own respects.

  • Fuck you.

  • that is trent reznor dumb ass!!!

  • Very cool. I never would've thought of combining this song with Sweeney Todd. Interesting.

  • I love. this version and johnny cash's.

  • goooooooooood job

  • Johnny Cash didn't sing it first. He covered it. :x

  • this was an awesome vid and song choice i loveddd it keep up the good work!

  • there's somethin crazy sexy about helena botham carter

  • are their different versions or mixes of this song ? my Nin hurt sounds slightly different to this

  • Johnny Cash sang it first, if that helps. His sounds really similar to this.

  • @what55ify

this was a tribute to johnny cash.

  • Nine Inch Nails wrote this song first dude

  • @what55ify

nah nin did it 1st (released in 1994)

Cash released his version in 2002

  • Oh! Now I feel like an idiot...

  • @what55ify Actually, no... Johnny Cash COVERED this song. It was originally written and performed by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). While I'll admit that the Johnny Cash video and the supposed reason he covered the song (the recent loss of his wife) made an emotional impact...his version does not come close to Trents'. Johnny Cash is an amazing musician, however in this specific case, I cringed everytime I heard him sing Trents' song.

  • I know. Look up to see if I've already been told... which I have.

  • @eeyoreannie I totally agree. I don't think the song was suited for the death of his wife. I don't feel like all of his emotion was put into the song, infact, since he sang it for his wife, I feel like he didn't even understand it enought to cover it. He's a great musician but he really didn't sound that great coving this song. With Trent you really feel it, his voice sounds so tortured.

  • @what55ify No, Johnny Cash covered it. Trent Reznor sang it first.

  • @Deathcab47 Yeah, NIN did different versions of this song. There were "Quiet" and "Album" versions, censored/uncensored versions.

  • This song is sogreat i love two versions

    And the film .. unwords

  • @toliveistodie1983 in that case your right

  • sweet movie.

  • @ jonathonpvaldez17

yeah but when Johnny sang it, it looks like the song is written for the man in black

  • he changed it trents is about heroin and cash is about his wife they both are good though

  • yea trents is a million times better though..being an ex heroine addict the song really hits home ya know..

  • cash's version is more about how he's dying and misses his younger days

  • i focussed on the pain *evil grin at razor blades*

    xD

  • thats really good i was never able to see the movie so that was a nice glimpse of what i missed

  • @fma113

its a hell of a movie. would love to watch it again

  • hollow life by KoRn would go good with this too. I listened to it now after watching this movie and imagined Johnny Depp singing for some reason xD

  • johnny cash's version sounds better

  • Johnnys version is good, but without NIN Johnny never would have been able to do it.

  • fair call, but johnny has more sorrow to his voice wich works better for this song

  • doesnt get the emotions accross as good as Nine Inch Nails do

  • @JLT1994 It all depends on what you like. I love both because they both sounded true. Trent came from the truth of addiction hurting the ones you love and the will to quit not always feeling like enough. Johnny's was his wife and the feeling of loss of the one he loved. As long as the words are true for the performer, most any great song isn't hurt by their performance. Trent's was beautiful for it's ambiance and Johnny for his simplistic interpretation. Bottom line... great song.

  • @gthoma2a johnny's version wasn't because of his wife, she was still alive when he recorded it.

  • *finds a happy place

  • so to answer your question its alot of dark crazy things

  • oh yea and he kills the judge befor that happens joanna runs away with a hot young lad name anthony after geting thrown in a mental ward because the judge is evil and wanted to keep her locked away form him then a young boy named toby who mrs lovette devolped mother son bond with earlleir kill sweeny for throwing ma ma in the oven and the end

  • for a while until sweeny finds out his wife didn't kill her self and mrs lovette lied to him and he accidently mistook her for a nosey beggar woman and hacked her neck sweeny furious throws mrs lovette in the oven

  • agaisnt judge turpin and to want to get his daughter out of judge turpins costody because he starts to have nasty pervo feelings for her aswell Mrs lovette devolpes a creepy stalker crush on sweeny todd and they hatch a schem to kill not just the judge but alot of innocent people and then cook them as meat pies makeing a lovely little profit off of um shaveing people sliceing their throat choping them up cooking and selling them as meat pies the plan seems fool proof

  • he got sent to prison for a crime he didn't comite and the same corupt judge rapes his wife while he's gone she poisions her self with arsenic leaving their darling daughter joanna with pervo judge he comes back when joanna is like 16 and his he finds his wife and child gone the pie shop owner mrs. lovette tell him all about it and that he can said in the upstairs room above her shop for a small fee and he can run his baber bussness there it doesn't take long for sweeny todd to crave revenge

  • never saw this film. why did he get demented?

  • what a great song. perfect movie for it.

  • this fits perfect!

  • woohoo i luvs this song

  • muy buena la cancion

  • great song!

  • yeah but there are no goths in fable lol

  • Sweeney should have sang this song in the movie! awesome movie! awesome song!

  • in which part of Fable II?

  • everyone i know goes away in the end

    that describes my life perfectly

  • and one else think that this movie and the atmosphere of Fable II are rather similar? just sayin XD

  • yeah it does have the same dark feeling

  • cashs version is good too theyre just in different views

this one is more like actual pain and johnny cashs is more like the fact that hes getting older

  • i disagree, i would have to say both have some serious pain to it, between the dying johnny cash and the pain-filled Reznor version both could bring a person down easily

  • @B4413 exactly what you just said

  • @B4413 i agree with what you just said
