I agree the nhl should have a rule that if you clear the puck outside the trapezoid, instead of a penalty for the goalie, they should say, "clear the puck at your own risk". Clearing the puck outside zone mean goalie is treated like a regular player who can be checked.

Yeah Belfour will only be in the HOF as one of the greatest goalies of all time with almost 500 wins, two Vezinas, 4 Jennings trophies, a calder trophy, and multiple stanley cups. Nieuwendyk? Yeah he only won the Conn Smythe and scored 564 goals. Modano? All he's done is be the highest scoring American born player with 528 goals. Plus whatever he does next year. Typical Sharks fan, full of stupidity.

belfour deserved it. not to mention goalies should probably be fair game for clean checks if they play the puck, and that was a clean check.

I agree the nhl should have a rule that if you clear the puck outside the trapezoid, instead of a penalty for the goalie, they should say, "clear the puck at your own risk". Clearing the puck outside zone mean goalie is treated like a regular player who can be checked.
