@PandaStrikeGaming um missile turrets counters light air units used in small groups.... for example 2 banshees, 5 mutas, ravens. they do not dont counter mass voids lol. they were one shot by the voids so no they did not do any substantial damage. the only thing that actually did anything was the ghost's emp. and why would u "steamroll" thors with void rays. obviously u suck because anyone who plays starcraft 2 knows that carriers are way more effective vs thors

@xX0BlackCloud0Xx That vid shows nothing. There are 3 missle turrets and an auto turret, along with a few marines. The thors barely did anything, its the missle turrets that killed the voids. Not only that, we couldent see upgrades. And by the way, I DO play sc2, as toss none the less. I know exactly what voids can do. They can DECIMATE 3-4 thors.

Marines cost 50 minerals each.. Void rays cost 250 minerals 150 gas.. Of course void rays will beat marines and hydras. Thats like saying who wins between 200 supply ultras against 200 supply zealots. Obviously the ultras will rape them. The only time anyone will get 200 supply void rays is in bronze.

I'm in Platinum and I use primarily void rays. I plan to keep improving the void ray game all the way to the top of diamond. For me, there just isn't a unit more fun to use.

@turtwig321 The only way someone could viably amass >5 void rays is if you let him turtle up and not put pressure. Any good player will be able to prevent mass void rays, thus not making it a strategy. Anyone that can pull this off in a league game must be in fucking bronze or lower.

anyone who has trouble with VRs, if your terran build many marines, get the combat shield stim and upgrade, back some tors with marines, the enemy will prolly micro the thors while marines rape the rays, zerg, ur only hope is to mass mutas, the glave worm chains and takes them out quite easily, toss needs blinking stalkers and dts, most players tht do void rays dont get detectors so when he attacks u counter

Man this sounds like a fun thing to do against AI. What I like to do is take every expansion. While having a bunch of marines on the ramp to take out any units that come out the computer's base. Then a bunch of vikings to surround him so he can't send drop ships. Then I take every expansion and go mass BattleCruiser :D

Additionally, anyone who masses void rays aren't going to focus on taking out the army, they would go straight for economy/production.

Void rays are fast enough to get out of a nuke's strike range. Not only that, nukes are weaker now, and a void ray with shields up would be able to withstand it.
