No, she was on small rats, but someone had a mouse that they wanted to get rid of. A snake that size should NOT be on mediums. You need to only feed a snake something equal to the diameter of their body.

This simply causes unneeded stress to the mouse and could possibly harm your snake. It is not hardcore, it is sick, and wrong, and twisted. All you can reply to me is a few yelling words and a load of swearing, because you can't type a good reply, because there is no excuse for something like this. And before you say it's nature, it isn't - a snake shouldn't be a pet in the first place.

Im not going to freak out at you. You are allowed your opinion. If you watch my other videos, then you will see that I take every precaution in making sure my snakes are safe. I usually feed all of my snakes frozen, but I changed things up a little.

Saying a snake shouldn't be a pet is a little much. I hate mice and rats, but I dont care if people have those as pets. Rats carry tons of diseases, they should not be pets.

I wouldn' t trust a kid who made a video of a snake killing a live mouse / young rat with death metal in the background and also a Burmese which can miss its prey in such a small tub. Burmese pythons aren't known as picky eaters. I should know. ;)

And why does missing the prey mean that the burmese is a picky eater. If you know so much about burmese pythons then you should know that their eyesight is next to nothing. Hunting is done by sensing heat in the prey. (Hence the heat pits) I have been keeping snakes for years, and they are all VERY healthy.

My issue was with the showing of a live mouse / rat being killed. We snake lovers already have issues with the world at large about keeping 'cold blooded killers' and such videos ain't going to help our hobby much. The music in the background would also hint that we take feeding live animals to snakes as a trivial matter and kind of an exhibition sport. Also, in the video, the container is very small and it's kind of weird for the snake to miss its prey since it was close to its prey.

A male redtail will reach 6 feet, Ive seen females get up to about 8 or 9. I think there have been a few that got up to 12 feet. That is what I have heard. All of mine have gotten from 6-8
