Its late at night and I'm trying to listen to this without making too much noise and i have to keep adjusting the volume. A testament to the sensitivity to the dynamics. Love it!
Love Rachmaninov. My mother actually met him years back in NYC when she was studying music with some professors who came to the US from the Moscow Conservatory. He was a very, very great man who really had something to say with music.
I dont know if this would be helfull for anyone but I got recently a book called "The piano Works of Rachmaninov" Volume X -Syphonic Dances, op.45, for two pianos, four hands, by Alfred`s Classic Editions with a CD inside. They also have other great works of Rachmaninov.
Hi, I am trying to find the score for this , so my school orchestra can play it. does anyone know where i might be able to get the score for this? if not what is the key of the piece so i can start arranging it? any help at all would be extremely helpful.

@euphmmx Saxophones should always be in the orchestra; they're beautiful.

This is my favorite piece! Svetlanov's rendition of this is the best ). This one's too mechanical to me.

@Libertein818 Have you tried IMSLP? just google IMSLP and go into the Petrucci Library. Search for Rachmaninoff.

@Kentodragon Yeah I tried that a while back, thanks but it isn't available there.

@Libertein818 No offense, but if you can't tell what key it's in you don't have much hope of being able to transcribe it by ear . . .

The first time the melody came in, it was a bit sloppy (with the full orchestra), but the rest was pretty good.
