  • I can't find drakes fry mix anywhere! Where do you buy it?

  • I live in Evansville Indiana and Drakes is available in every regular grocery store here including WalMart.

When I lived in California; I never saw it anywhere.

It could be a regional product, not national.

It is stocked in the stores around the fish fry mixes and I have even seen it stocked around the bread crumbs.

I believe that it is manufactured in Wisconsin.

I will send you a PM here on YouTube.

  • can u make pancakes, eggs , and bacon

  • lol, in batter even?

  • I found their website, just google Drakes Crispy Fry Mix.

They have all sorts of stuff for sale, all natural too.

  • O'Doul's beer?

  • Yes, you are the 1st to notice.

It does have a great taste, but not as good as grain belt beer.

  • Water will be fine, you do not have to use beer; either work great!

    Thanks for your question!

  • Beer battered onion rings are the best onion rings!!

  • Yes I love beer. I do think the Drakes Crispy Fry Mix makes better onion rings; if you can find it try it.

  • Cool video, I subscribed.

  • Thanks so much for subscribing, if you have the Drakes Crispy Fry mix available to you, use that; but the from scratch recipe is good too.

  • is there a differnce between canola oil and vegetable oil?

  • oh and um is it ok if you leave the batter longer than overnight?

  • Yes there is a difference, I will not use canola because I have heard it is bad for you.

Yes You can leave the batter overnight, it will separate a bit, but it will be fine!

    Thank you for your questions!

  • Hey, these are like mom used to make. Brings back memories.

  • excellent!

  • I love you Hammer!

So nice of you to watch, I am honored as I highly admire you!

  • Wonderful, do you reuse the oil?

how do you store it? Strain it?

  • Thanks for your question.

If I ever fry fish, the oil is never used again.

Other frying, well I will use the oil "up to" 2 more times.

I strain it everytime in a large colander lined with a paper towel, and put it into a tupperware type container at room temperature.
