  • oh hell yeah!

  • well done fil

  • As in FUCK ME!

  • Fuck!

  • Oh my god, I didn't know this song before, I listened to it multiple times. And just when I read the comments I realised that this solo was created by yourself... I thought that was really ac dc. Man you are awesome.

  • Hey Fil - do think the reason some AC/DC songs aren't in concert pitch is due to small variations in tape speed or did they tune slightly off pitch, like on this song and Highway to Hell, most of Let there be Rock etc?

  • SoloDallas tu toca guitarra pra caralho!!! \o/

  • Does the original song have any guitar solos? I've listened to it a few times recently and there don't seem to be any solos for some reason

  • @omfg51 No, no solos on this track from AC/DC. Which is rare. This is why I allowed myself to try mine.

  • @SoloFilDallas My god Fil, I swore it was Angus!!! You make those brothers proud sir.

  • @omfg51 I so hope so. Imagine they think "hey, who the heck is this twat playing OUR stuff in his wordrobe???" Sigh. :P

  • @SoloFilDallas good idea and great job for the solo, do you know if there's another acdc song without solo? its like if they made it for you, they are saying lets go Fil put one of your awesome solo here :D

  • Always love your work....Amazing guitarist. You can see you mean it. Thank for sharing your vids!

  • Very good Fil! Superb tone! That solo... Where? To me it sounds (looks) like a Let There be Rock style solo. I mean something from that album. Is this something you've created?

    Cheers, Monkey.

  • Please make a video with your gretsch

  • does that Gretsch have two zero frets?

  • I agree the best and most underrated AC/DC album ever, and Solo Dallas nails the feeling and tone every time! A+

  • @SoloFilDallas Can you tell me how you record with such an amazing tone? I completely love your style of play and I'm really working how to get a good sound to upload videos. I got a Gibson Studio Deluxe and a nice Marshall mgfx100 just wanna be able to record those great

  • @GuitarHockeyAdct Course I can: actually everything is written at my site

  • possibly the most accurate AC/DC covers I've ever heard. But is it really necessary to make the faces? It's very distracting and takes away from what is a great video.

  • Most excellent...the best cover of all the ones on here, by FAR!!!

  • I found you again!!man i lost track of solo dallas.. perfect as usual man much respect

  • It looks as if those chords are destroying your fingers.

Good playing nonetheless, though, sounded perfect.

  • This is absolutely amazing! You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Angus's tone and your tone. By far the best AC/DC cover I've ever heard! I would love to know how you get these tones.

  • I think i actually like this better than the real Gimme A Bullet on Powerage. Well done

  • The greatest guitar covers on YouTube! What happened to you old channel? I thought you had one where the name was just SoloDallas? Or maybe I'm just crazy haha.

  • One of my favorite AC/DC tunes. Nice solo addition. I like it

  • I would Pay You $27.89 To send me a Tab Of How You Did That Solo.

But Since I Don't Have $27.89 Could You Send Me A Tab Anyway? Please:)

  • @seamonie48 Forget about tabs, man. Learn it by ear (I know it's not easy, but you'll get used to it), that's also the way Fil does it.

  • has angus discovered you yet? haha

  • Fil, where do you find these vintage guitars?

  • Bloody awesome, Fil!

  • If electric guitars had faces they would look exactly like you, Fil. You rock, dude!

  • I'm posting again, just because only a few minutes ago I realised that the solo is your composition. Man, that's really a kick-ass solo. If I consider myself a big fan of AC/DC, the you must be the God of the fans.

  • Great solo, the orignal recordings that were on vinyl had angus playing solo's on down payment blues and what's next to the moon but were removed on later pressings, you nail the solo of your own and it was an excellent touch to one of my favourite tracks, thank you.

  • Play is great, as we know ! You also improved in video quality, too ! We we'll see you in more collaboration covers ?

  • Ok found something, but don't know if this is correct... I splitted the stereo and now I have 2 tracks. The Malcolm track I than make mono and pan to the center... It sounds ok, so... :D

  • On this audio... I hear Malcolms guitar on the center, just like Bon's voice. It works to pan it to the left, but not to bring the guitar and Bon's voice to the center :(

  • Brilliant! as usual! Love it! what a sound!

  • ANGUS YOUNG CLONE!!!! BRAVO FIL-ALWAYS AWESOME GUITAR COVER!!100*

  • Wow! that smokes man!! :-)

  • My birthday was yesterday!! the 8 october! 18 Years! :)

    HELL YEAH! :D

  • Did you hang the Jet Firebird up front there just to tease me!!!

  • We all know its you Angus, take off the disguise.

  • Mind blowing tone!!!!

  • I really mean it when i say, i like this better than the actual Powerage version. The addition of the solo was superb.

  • Yeah. Really good fella!

  • I love this stuff, and I love you even more Fil :D

    Great job :)!!!!!

  • Favorited that was just stupendous as always. I've seen almost all of your covers and there all fantastic and i'm glad you did a cover of one of the less known albums Powerage which I have.

  • are you playing to a backing track or something? or just Bon?

  • @MiniMousePoo2 I always try to play to/with the original songs, which are the only ones - especially with AC/DC - that drive me emotionally. Backing tracks done by others usually leave me disappointed, depressed etc. I do remove the right channel (Angus), by panning all to the left; then, I "mono" the left channel. The two brothers are usually hard panned one left and one right: this makes it easier to play to one or the other part.

  • @SoloFilDallas thank you for your reply! and I love your new website I am a member!

  • @SoloFilDallas Hey, I don't understand this completely. Panning to the left is no problem (I do this with Audacity). But then the monoing... Does this mean that Malcolms guitar (cause Malcolms guitar is the only guitar that rests) comes to the center? Or does it stays to the left? Thanks!! Awesome video ofcourse, but I commented already on your site!! :D Greetz, J-L

  • @SoloFilDallas Hey cool I am using the same way to play to ac dc songs :)

  • Spot on!

  • Awesome as ever man. Could you possibly do a cover of Chase the Ace? I would really love that!

    Jakub

  • Awesome solo, Fil!

    Keep rockin'...

  • This is great! :) Rock on Fil! :)

  • Red hot bro!!!

  • I've heard so many other players get tantalizingly close to Angus's sound, but I don't think anyone besides the man himself gets as close as this. Close your eyes and you'd never know.

  • Great sound and playing!!

  • brilliant Playing and the Solo kick Ass. Perfect Fil

  • that guitar is absolutely stunning (and so is your ability to nail these songs)

  • Eccezionale Phil.... Come sempre!!! E poi il suono é proprio..... GIUSTO!!!!!!

  • What a solo, Fil! Top notch.

  • Keepin it sexy as always, Fil

  • Great Fil!!! You're the man... \m/ Però mi devi assolutamente provare la testata... Voglio un clip suonato da Te!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))

  • You're awsome! You have skills and also have the Angus-like feeling in your soul.Keep up the good work!

  • My day was dull and rainy until about 3 minutes ago - cheers Fil

  • You are bloody brilliant!

  • From the best AC-DC album Powerage, great playing as always man. Solo is great

  • @orrrrvarien Thanks for subscribing! (just seen you)

  • awesome as always

  • Nice!. Interestingly enough, this could have been the genesis of the 'highway to hell' riff. SD: I wrote to you a while asking you about Angus's sustain, the sustain you get here at 2:18, is roughly the same as what I get (Marshall super lead, Ibanez strat) - if you could please show how to duplicate the sustain at the end of (studio) high voltage, that would be absolutely awesome!

  • @Andybaby Andy, solo sustain from 1978 onward was due largely to the Schaffer-Vega Diversity. Please log onto solodallas and find out. Lots of good news there.

  • When you dont think anyone could possibly recreate AC/DCs sound better, Fil go and do something like this...

So good, so well played. SoloDallas standard with other words, great

  • @ACDCFan15Swe Thank you Eric :)
