A song that's been heard dozens of times by Sweden and a poor performance at least by what came up on my TV screen had that totally understandable result. But then again  it's not Swedes' fault. It's yet to be confirmed, but there's a rumour that France, Germany and the UK will be pulling out if the jury vote isn't brought back. I work at the BBC (although in Sport), but this rumour's been going around for a bit.

Ever seen the swedish voting system in our finals? First 12 regions of the country get to vote 1-12 points,and the finally the phone vote is added which are multiples of 12's of the ordinary votes. Meaning the highest telephone vote gives 12x12=144 points. This means predicting the winner is impossible and very exciting.

Keep the phone vote but let the jury decide half the points. This is fair.

Otherwise pull out, the contest is a farce nowadays.
