Now I would have thought that all of Searl's supporters would have put their heads together and downloaded all the alleged BBC footage and posted it on YT. Given it is a British site I imagined I'd find info on the wonderful British invention flying. Found over 1,900 stories in the period but not one on J Searl. I see on some other videos it is claimed it did 3,500km/h, also went to the moon in 1 hour. Being made of wood it would have shattered at 3,500km/h. At 380,000km/h ( the speed needed to get to the moon in one hour) it would have similarly self destructed. How did they know it got to the moon. Binoculars? The more I did the funnier it gets.
@LiamXaoh You misunderstand the nature of field effect propulsion. It could be made of cardboard and it would not shatter. One test, they put a thin bottle made of radioactive material in the central cabin of a model, not even tied down. At 2 Gs, the bottle would have cracked. After test the bottle was still where p;laced intact. Most stress on the airframe is when at idle, below flight voltage and superconductivity. At 4 Kelvin its superconducting, and the SEG loses all inertia and G-forces.

When the magnet companies found out one could make the most powerful magnets on Earth, they raised the price of all rare-earths (which are NOT "rare"). The photographs you can see on line, and yes, witnesses of the programmes like keithshemp on youtube (do a youtube search-engine search) are still around, and they remember this. I remember 1968, I met Robert Kennedy at the Brox Zoo in May, 1968. I work with Professor Searl since 2007, and we gave a great presentation in Albuquerque.

Dr. Arthur Cain at NASA was on the 1970s team, and you can look at photos online of him wiring the fligt-cells of the DEMO-1 21-foot craft. Now I would have thought that all of Searl's supporters would have put their heads together and downloaded all the alleged BBC footage and posted it on YT. It would be a great piece of evidence but curiously it has not happened in the 40 odd years that this alleged IGV footage has been sitting around. Call me suspicious, but it sounds very odd.

Searl himself oversaw development as a way of assisting SCEPTRE to find the solution to powering our latest secret base of operations in our hollowed out volcano near Java. And, there are more than one SuperSEG in use, I can tell you!! The problem was withstanding the heat flux from the magma.
A normal SEG tended to warp it's edge.

Sherwood was on the Team in the 1960s, and 70s, I wrote to hi in 1987, because I lived in New York too, at the time, and he sent me some old SISRC and SNSRC newsletters from that time period, in which I learned a lot about the Searl technology. I see on some other videos it is claimed it did 3,500km/h, also went to the moon in 1 hour. Being made of wood it would have shattered at 3,500km/h. One test, they put a thin bottle made of radioactive material in the central cabin of a model, not even tied down. At 2 Gs, the bottle would have cracked. After test the bottle was still where p;laced intact. Most stress on the airframe is when at idle, below flight voltage and superconductivity. At 4 Kelvin its superconducting, and the SEG loses all inertia and G-forces.

They are bright WHITE on top, and on the bottom like a dark mirror, at Flight Voltage( some 10^12 Volts DC @ 1.5 milliAmperes). The craft sit in their own self-generated vacuum envelope. Above 5000, Volts, no air can come near the craft, necessitating a life-support system for the manned models. The 40-foot craft were stored in Archangel.

@LiamXaoh The BBC did WEEKLY programmes of the flying prototypes, from 1968-1972, and the videotapes and written records of the programmes are still in existence. The photographs you can see on line, and yes, witnesses of the programmes like keithshemp on youtube (do a youtube search-engine search) are still around, and they remember this. I remember 1968, I met Robert Kennedy at the Brox Zoo in May, 1968. I work with Professor Searl since 2007, and we gave a great presentation in Albuquerque.

If the SEG was a going concern some years ago why isn't there a working version today? Whta "thing" has stopped anyone making one and demonstrating it? You don't get it do you? @Beamshipcaptain - let's cut to the chase. All I and everyone has seen is lots of words. Where oh where is a working version of any of this stuff? YouTube videos - great evidence of nothing. I saw a lady cut in half on a video so therefore it must be real. Where can I buy a free energy machine, even a desk top toy version that isn't fake? Nowhere is the answer. I'll come back to this video in a year or two and I'll get the same excuses - it's nearly finished. Blah blah blah.

No. Like all such things it had its multitude of fans who claimed it was the next big thing, but as reality of testing came in it proved not to be cold fusion.
A review by the journal Scientific American found nothing to support the claims of cold fusion claimants. So why is it you don't check your facts?

The simply untold reams written about free energy and there has been for years. There are hundreds of patented free energy machines. If any of it were true a power company would be generating electricity with one, surely. But no.

I would love to power my house off a free energy machine but all my searches for a supplier has failed. I went for solar panels as they don't break any known laws of physics.

- who has been suppressing this stuff and how?
- if he was able to make a working (flying) version 40 or 50 years ago how come he doesn't make one and take it to an air show?
- the one that is being built now is surely way more complex than his early prototype - so how come there aren't any basic flying prototypes being built as materials are so much cheaper these days?

The magnet companies raised the price of all rare Earths9which are actually not rare, they are plentiful) in the 1960s, when they discovered you can make the most powerful magnets on Earth with them. Labor cost s are higher too. But we are slowly getting investors. The work has been resurrected by Fernando Morris with working models.

@Beamshipcaptain - I assume a small working SEG weighs a few kilos so material cost is not an issue then. When you say working models are you talking about versions producing power that is confirmed by independent testing or just whizzing around like in all the videos?
I have seen lots of desktop free energy type machines over the years, they all seem to disappear for a range of reasons. Until I see an independent group of scientist actually observe & test one I'm going to remain skeptical.

@ZoeMarks It has been independently tested at Sussex University. A 10-foot, 4.5 Ton P-11 craft was tested at Edwards Airforce Base in 1977. The testers were very very puzzled by the Searl IGV craft's lack of inertia. But inertia is dircecly related to NET CHARGE, not mass, or amount of material.

Not sure I agree about your inertia comment. Classical physics says momentum = mass x velocity and inertia = mass x acceleration so mass is at the core of which ever version of inertia one is referring to.

That is why the testers and brass at Edwards who flight tested a 4.5 ton, 10-foot diameter Searl IGV in 1977 were puzzled why the craft had no inertia. Gabriel Lippman discovered inertia is dependent on Net CHARGE, not mass. Charge is SEPARATE FROM MASS. In a field-propelled vehicle, no "freight-cars effect. Every atom moves uniformly. Motion can't be felt from inside the enrgised IGV.

@Beamshipcaptain - I just saw a reference to neodymium magnets which says they weren't commercially available till the mid 1980s yet you're implying Searl used them in the 1940s. I checked and they were developed (invented) in 1982 in the US.
I'm starting to believe Searl is telling porkies.

He will not produce a working machine and will pass into folklore for the wrong reasons.

@LiamXaoh I never said they set fire to his hous, but his ex wife asked if she could dispose of his stuff, and the answer was YES. The fires burned outdoors, for days. Much equipmet was sold off to shops in Southern England, and you can find some of that equip in the shops ther to this day.
