  • Lotte once again carries the day. TY James for sending and the poster for posting.

  • A beautiful performance by a magnificent artist,

  • Superb sensitive voice.

  • Das wunderbare Singen! Vielen Dank ceph77 fur die Versetzung!

  • Great. Very beautiful song. The best version I've ever heard is Nicholas Spanos's.

  • No one can sing as Lotte Lehmann did today. Sopranos, Mezzos, swallow their tones and produce ugly, covered, bellowed sounds because they and their teachers do not comprehend that singing is an ART as was known in the past era

  • @MrMaxmorphing say it in english...

  • Diamonds of another era... If only we had such giants in our days...

  • @suoidolem We have!!! This rendition is wonderful! Great Lehmann! Great spirit of the past! But we can't live only in the past and constantly complain that this world is deteriorating. We also need new bright stars. We have at least one! The most beautiful and moving version of this Hahn's masterpiece I've ever heard is Nicholas Spanos's! I was crying listening to him and was carried away to a better world! We still have such giants in our days! I think that you fully agree with me here:-)

  • @suoidolem They don't have to be giants. They just have to pronounce clearly and keep it simple. They don't have to complicate things like Natalie Dessay and Renée Fleming do. Listen also to Maggie Teyte and Bidu Sayao in songs of Hahn.

  • Relmente hermoso!! muy hermoso...
