Does he realize that everyone is about to die because Turandot is about to kill everyone, since she doesn't know Calaf's name? I personally don't see very much joy in that,,, or Happyness. This is exactly why everyone, Before they attempt to perform a song in public, needs to find out the meaning of the song, Or else, it will lead to a total misinterpretation like this. This goes WAAAYYY beyond artistic interpretation. IT doesn't even apply. It's wrong.

Potts' voice is ok. He's got a tenor voice which simply designated his voice type. That doesn't mean that he's an operatic tenor. For a pop contest of no artistic value, he surprised everybody by singing Nessun Dorma. But in operatic terms, it was painful to watch.

I like it, but there are far better tenors to sing this song, beggining with pavarotti, bocelli, domingo; in my case, my favourite tenor is Plácido Domingo, even more than Pavarotti, I think his voice (Domingo's) is more potent.

Carlos' version of Nessun Dorma is very pleasing and is easy to listen to. Though he can be a bit over the top in terms of dramatic, I still love his voice
