Honestly I prefer Prowl over Red Alert in this case, mostly because of the several incarnations of Red Alert I've seen (G1, Armada, Cybertron, Animated), they all involved rescue/medical emergency. This Red Alert (in Superlink) however was not. Honestly, Mach Alert (ironically Prowl in RID) would have been a better name.
@hydro1611 the character names are sometimes different in the japanese version and red alert's japanese name was first aid. Isn't this common knowledge by now...
in micron legeds(japanese armada version),red alert was called ratchet. In galaxy force(japanese cybertron, which was created as a reboot)he isnt the same ratchet(red alert) from micron legends and he is called first aid,so dont mistake superlink red alert with other characters,TheTrueMoristhecat.
They called PROWL REDALERT?! Well, that way both character names got used for the Japanese dub, heck, Armada and Cybertron both have the iconic Red Alert.
Now I know that doing a superlink is supposed to make them more powerful, but the show makes it so that there is no real difference in power given, that being the case they usually do it when the autobots are outnumbered, meaning less guns to fire at the enemy.
That's not entirely true. Transformers have been in production ever since those two decades, and this one is no exception. The Unicron Triology were collaberaively created by America and Japan, so it is NOT Japanese exclusive.
bumblebee ftw which i think in energon was hot shot

Transformer was a great Idea, but american writer kill many of them in G1.
That was terrible. I left to see the series.
Even when some of them were resurrected in other releases.

What's wrong with Japanese? This was a Japanese series to begin with, the Americans stopped making TF almost 2 decades ago.
