Jroscoe what you probably saw is additional material edited in for the t.v. release ......since when they edit risque movies down to make them appropriate for t.v. they lose so much running time they need extra scenes for filler. Halloween and Airplane are two other movies that come to mind with 'extra' scenes on the t.v. release. Now more commonly known as deleted scenes.
there is a really funny scene with the bellboy that is inexplicably missing from this video and the dvd that I own. Upon seeing Delores, the bellboy instantly grows a mustache and his voice drops. Martin concludes that he spontaneously went through puberty. I used to see the PG version of this movie on network tv frequently and i vividly remember this funny scene.
yep, same thing with The Jerk- tv version has scenes not on any dvd or vhs (more at the carnival, etc). anybody have the full tv version of the Jerk? mail me please!
One of the funniest movies ever commited to celluloid, imho. When Steve Martin was funny, really funny. Also, Kathleen Turner is the foxiest, vampiest, teasiest woman ever in this clip...
