I got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. All I got was shitty anesthesia, I still felt pain throughout the procedure, even when I asked the doctor for more. And for painkillers, all I got was Tylenol 3, which is basically extra strength headache medication. I live in Canada, the land of the pills... For a place so steeped in meds you'd think they would give you something that actually does get rid of the pain. I'm overdosing on this shit, and my mouth is still on fire.
I only have 3 wisdom teeth so apparently i dont have to get them out? Or do i absolutely have to have them out cuz it makes my mouth unbalanced? Idk its sometin crazy

Laughing gas is not allowed in Norway because "it may be a hazard to health workers", and the pain medication sucks.

My mom went to get her wisdom teeth out, and she didn't feel like being in the dentist. She didn't get any numbing at all, but she got some painkillers for afterwards. She wasn't phased by it. I hope I can be that brave. >.>

Well see the thing is, I have paranoia and anxiety... so getting all drugged up isn't the best idea for me since my paranoia and anxiety kick in when I'm high... so that's the one thing I'm not looking forward too if I ever have to get my wisdom teeth out; my total and complete freak out for days on end until I can stop taking the medication.

When I got mine out, I remember them telling me to count backwards from 10. I got to 7, and then I woke up in my house. I do not remember leaving the dentist or the car ride home. I woke up in a chair in my house 5 hours after the surgery.
My friend, right after he got his out, told his mother to "go fuck a monkey" because he didn't want to leave the dentist chair.
My roommate got hers out in a room with trees painted on the walls and woke up and thought she was lost in a forest.
i wish i went to your dentist when i got mine out they just stuck a whole bunch if needles in my mouth and they had to cut my teeth into four pieces before they took them out and then they gave my stitches.... fucken hurt like bitch afterr
Tristan it sounds like your Mom was enjoying it. My agent recommended to my mom I get mine pulled at 15. I guess humans don't use them anymore anyway. I think they were used when humans used to eat meat raw and they were used to clamp down and tug to break up the meat. The dentist said if a person waits until they go bad they have to saw them out and could hit nerves that would make your face sag. So ya, good thing you got it over with dude.
i had tissue removed from my mouth last year... i still have nightmares about the acid trip that the laughing gas put me on. I thought my dentist was a plant. A giant plant with his face on it. And i also thought that this plant-dentist was using sandpaper to get stuff out of my mouth.... not fun.

Got mine out on Friday. I didn't get laughing gas unfortunately. Just something that knocked me straight out. I have been eating a shit load of pudding though. I got home and ate 12 snack packs in one sitting. Did you get to keep your teeth?

I had to get teeth taken out of my gums, so I went for oral surgery. The cherry flavored laughing gas was fun. Then the needles came, but I couldn't feel them. Then I was out but when I woke up I was stumbling. So I got assisted to the bathroom(yup..the whole deal) I didn't care, I was too loopy. I drank all my food for the next week and was always on pain killers. Now I get to do it all over again to get my wisdom teeth out next year. Fun stuff..can't wait.

I had mine taken out when I was 13. I had to get surgery, so they weren't even out of my gums yet :s I got to keep my 2 bottom ones though. I never even got any pain killers or anything, and I remember I couldn't use a straw or anything with suction. Also I could feel my stitches, and 2 huge holes where my teeth used to be. It was pretty disgusting.
Oh GOD. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled soon, but I had to get four regular teeth pulled. And the drugs oh. my god. They put that IV in me and they were like "okay, you're going to feel a little funny." and after that I was just like "lol peace" I was GONE. My giggling was beyond anything. And then they had to walk me to the car, and I was so high I guess you could say, that I was cussing out my the orthodontist. It was great.

Oh girl. Let me TELL YOU about my experience. I'm a pretty small sized girl and so the doctors didn't give me enough anesthesia and I WOKE UP. They also did not account for some medicine I was on that keeps my blood from clotting, I bled for 4 days straight. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink, I could only throw up blood. But I'm a survivor. NBD.
Haha, im way to chicken to do all that, and i am afraid of needles too, so im letting mine grow in. i have 1 out of 4 grown in and #2 is on its way. it doesnt even hurt, and lucky for me it didnt mess up my straight teeth!
I got mine out a year ago, I got ONE fun pill....that's it...no laughing gas...and the pill only kicked in AFTER they were done, I was fully aware of the intense sawing and jabbing and pulling...etc. And then when I got home, i was on some codeine...and that's when I discovered I'm allergic to it. So I puked my guts up, broke all 4 stitches, and then passed out in the hallway. I wish my experience was fun. >:

i got my wisdom teeth out back in august... it was a pretty crazy experience. i don't know if yours had already grown in or not, but mine had not, so they had to cut them in half and... yeah i won't go into details. i was only on one kind of drug... but for the entire time i used it, i was constantly laughing in my head (it's sort of hard to laugh otherwise...). people told me how horrible it was... really, it wasn't bad at all.
I thought I was going to take gettin my wisdom teeth taken out like a beast.. but no. I obviously didn't have the right kind of drugs, so I hurt the whole time. And then, it kept hurting, so I had to go back and find out one of the holes got infected. They had to give me like 4 shots to numb it and then they cut it back open and cleaned it out. They warned me I would be in the worst pain ever, and I was.. So, my wisdom teeth experience was bad.. haha I'm glad yours went so well. :)
the stuff they gave me after for the pain made me totally dillusional and i ended up chasing my cell phone through the house at 2 in the morning then fell going up the stairs and slept on the landing for the next 15 hours...gts

i wish i went to your dentist when i got mine out they just stuck a whole bunch if needles in my mouth and they had to cut my teeth into four pieces before they took them out and then they gave my stitches.... fucken hurt like bitch afterr

Tristan it sounds like your Mom was enjoying it. My agent recommended to my mom I get mine pulled at 15. I guess humans don't use them anymore anyway. I think they were used when humans used to eat meat raw and they were used to clamp down and tug to break up the meat. The dentist said if a person waits until they go bad they have to saw them out and could hit nerves that would make your face sag. So ya, good thing you got it over with dude.

i had tissue removed from my mouth last year... i still have nightmares about the acid trip that the laughing gas put me on. I thought my dentist was a plant. A giant plant with his face on it. And i also thought that this plant-dentist was using sandpaper to get stuff out of my mouth.... not fun.
and they didn't even give me any drugs afterwards!!!

Got mine out on Friday. I didn't get laughing gas unfortunately. Just something that knocked me straight out. I have been eating a shit load of pudding though. I got home and ate 12 snack packs in one sitting. Did you get to keep your teeth?
And the drugs are wonderful. LOL

Laughing gas always sounded like it wasn't so bad, but when I got it I felt like I was a ghost and everybody standing around was attending my funeral. Everything looked all grey and creepy. =/

I had to get teeth taken out of my gums, so I went for oral surgery. The cherry flavored laughing gas was fun. Then the needles came, but I couldn't feel them. Then I was out but when I woke up I was stumbling. So I got assisted to the bathroom(yup..the whole deal) I didn't care, I was too loopy. I drank all my food for the next week and was always on pain killers. Now I get to do it all over again to get my wisdom teeth out next year. Fun stuff..can't wait.

I had mine taken out when I was 13. I had to get surgery, so they weren't even out of my gums yet :s I got to keep my 2 bottom ones though. I never even got any pain killers or anything, and I remember I couldn't use a straw or anything with suction. Also I could feel my stitches, and 2 huge holes where my teeth used to be. It was pretty disgusting.

Oh GOD. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled soon, but I had to get four regular teeth pulled. And the drugs oh. my god. They put that IV in me and they were like "okay, you're going to feel a little funny." and after that I was just like "lol peace" I was GONE. My giggling was beyond anything. And then they had to walk me to the car, and I was so high I guess you could say, that I was cussing out my the orthodontist. It was great.

Oh girl. Let me TELL YOU about my experience. I'm a pretty small sized girl and so the doctors didn't give me enough anesthesia and I WOKE UP. They also did not account for some medicine I was on that keeps my blood from clotting, I bled for 4 days straight. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink, I could only throw up blood. But I'm a survivor. NBD.

Haha, im way to chicken to do all that, and i am afraid of needles too, so im letting mine grow in. i have 1 out of 4 grown in and #2 is on its way. it doesnt even hurt, and lucky for me it didnt mess up my straight teeth!

I got mine out a year ago, I got ONE fun pill....that's it...no laughing gas...and the pill only kicked in AFTER they were done, I was fully aware of the intense sawing and jabbing and pulling...etc. And then when I got home, i was on some codeine...and that's when I discovered I'm allergic to it. So I puked my guts up, broke all 4 stitches, and then passed out in the hallway. I wish my experience was fun. >:

i got my wisdom teeth out back in august... it was a pretty crazy experience. i don't know if yours had already grown in or not, but mine had not, so they had to cut them in half and... yeah i won't go into details. i was only on one kind of drug... but for the entire time i used it, i was constantly laughing in my head (it's sort of hard to laugh otherwise...). people told me how horrible it was... really, it wasn't bad at all.

I thought I was going to take gettin my wisdom teeth taken out like a beast.. but no. I obviously didn't have the right kind of drugs, so I hurt the whole time. And then, it kept hurting, so I had to go back and find out one of the holes got infected. They had to give me like 4 shots to numb it and then they cut it back open and cleaned it out. They warned me I would be in the worst pain ever, and I was.. So, my wisdom teeth experience was bad.. haha I'm glad yours went so well. :)

i had to get 4 other teeth out that were stuck in my gums, along with my wisdom teeth that were really deep. plus, i thought i was gunna miss a day of school.. but no, that day, my school had a snow day, so everyone else was out of school too.
