  • Hey. I have an open mind. Ready, Steady, Go would have been my pick; but this is very "catchy" and it fits the night life very well. Nice imagination and great pick of music. Bravo for creativity.

  • Yeah, works well.

  • good sound . I like that

    .

    .

    .

    [Thailand]

  • The best pianosequence i ever seen!!!

  • I recognise those gunshot sounds from hitman:blood money :)

  • absolutely great work!

  • LOL THE GUYS LIKE ''HOI GUN!!''

  • I wouldn't worry about the sync', OP, I'd be disappointed the picture is squeeeezed to 4:3

At least you included the actual sound from the moofie rather than just superimpose the music track.

Michael Mann sure knows how to do action. Shame he makes so few movies.

  • what's the name of this song

  • The Chemical Brothers ''Hey Boy Hey Girl''

  • ey!!!! That was another music in this scene !!!

  • Fuckin sound is out of sync dumb ass

  • I like Bourne. Or Actor.

  • where's ready steady go?

  • tony fuck u faggit dont get puched in your fucking face cracker be easy

  • Mint Royale's From rusholme with love could work too. It was in Get Carter fight scene.

  • black money OBAMA and his father OSAMA

  • fucking song

  • What happened to the original music that went much better for the scene?

This is a waste of server space.

  • Actually 'hey boy, hey girl' is by Chemical brothers.

  • And "Hey boy hey girl "

  • its "ready steady go" by paul oakenfold

  • does anyone know the music that played when the detective first shows up (at the apartment complex first murder)? Very Michael Mann, everyone has a theme.

  • hahah wow, this is real good man! I didn't realize it was completely remade soundwise until pretty late when the dialogues came in. I got actually a little suspicious when the music came on, I thought "I don't remember that music being in the movie". But real good job man, are you the same guy/guys that made that sound remake of mission impossible 3?

  • Thank you for the nice message! and no I didn't the the mi3 one but I just watched it there now, it's amazing!

  • I love this movie , I think Michael Mann created the most realistic hitman in this movie. I hope he will make another movie about Vincent character ( about his history, training , etc... ).

  • That´s not the way of Michael Mann. Open start, open ending. Vincent is dead - end of story.

  • Damn I thought the detective was gonna help the other guy, but Vincents badass shot him too!!

  • haha was looking for this clip.

my very own cousin had it up lol

    nice edit dean :D

  • nice work

  • umm i have the DVD from a while ago.. why is it different music? normally the club played Ready Steady Go - Paul Oakenfeld

  • Video description explains why.

  • thats really good !!

  • the last kill was like shooting a turkey, his wings were flappin

    lol

  • What did you use for the gun shot effects. Nicely done!!!

  • Wonderful job! Looks like this was a tough assignment!

  • i watched this movie last night the ending is bs i think but i liked the movie as a whole

i felt so sorry for jamie foxx in this movie

  • Why? Vincent was actually a mentor to Foxx's character, cutting through his bullshit.

  • Dean, this is really impressive. Gratz!

  • spoiler alert: blow ruffalo's brains out, will ya?

  • that gook got smoked

  • tom cruise is badass in this movie

  • one of my top films

  • I didn't think much of this film but i loved this scene.

Also love the club scene in Vanilla Sky with TC.

  • What a good damn job you did!!!. Congrats!..., besides.., this is a really nice movie. Did you know that Tom Cruise took 3 months of practical defense shooting training to move and act like a real pro?.

  • Damn fine job on the sound editing man. That must have been an end of term assignment eh? I wish in film school we had a project as cool as this! I always loved this film too...think it's totally underrated. My only beef in your vid is the voice overs, they take away a bit from the overall effect but seriously man fine job. Props.

  • "vincent's a white guy!" haha love it :)

  • Thank you very much :)

  • this is actually a very good effort, almost seamless mate - well done !

  • Thank you!, I said it before but I'll say it again, it's damn good seeing that there are people who can actually read on this site!

  • infact the more I watch this, the more i can appreciate the way you blend the soundfx's and music and video together...its really cool.

  • is the guy at 4:33 FBI or just a henchman?

  • love this scene, but why is it the Chemical Brothers playing instead of paul oakenfold? Its oakenfold in the film. did they just edit it this way?

  • youtube remove the audio from the vid so the guy put his own audio of the movie. Pretty kewl huh.

  • yeh wtf why is it chemical brothers

  • nice work, very, very good. Thanks we all enjoyed it.

  • You did an awesome job re-editing this scene, DeanCrumlish. I had to do the ole' re-edit thing too for my sound class, wasn't as good as this though, you fooled me for the first 35 seconds.

  • weird thing is, some people saw the guns and heard the gun fire but they still kept dancing =)

  • shut up

  • nice job. this was an intense scene. mann does this well. and knows his stuff. i think the guy who trained cruise was an sas guy.

  • Whats with the Scottish ascent of one of the police?

  • nice vid, well done!

but a question about the movie:

whats the name of the song playing after max leaves his meeting with felix? its in spanish i think....

    thanks in advance!

  • this must have taken pain staking hours...i can understand can cause ive done things of similar nature..but its f***ing awesome. Good job and Well done...

  • Cheers Liva! No it wasn't that hard or didn't take that long to be honest. Half an hour here and there over three days or so. Around two hours total.

  • وااااااااااااااااو

    والله روعه هالفلم

  • A few things:

    1) What was your decision in choosing the music? (Nothing wrong with it)

    2) I know you know that you missed some points with the voices. Why did you skip over these?

    3) Are you planning to do this to another movie? If so which did you have in mind?

  • This music is 10x better than paul oakenfold!!! great scene!

  • Dean... Nice Job... Like the way you matched the audio rhytum with the neck break of the first "bad guy." Also, your audio mix is better than the Paul Oakenfold mix.Look forward to your future posts.....

  • That is wild how ambient you made the music sound.

  • i can dig the music. it sounds like what they use in the dark knight when they do their take on this...

  • what happend with the song????? in that scene the song was Ready Steady Go

  • READ THE FUCKIN VIDEO DESCRIPTION

  • Thank you! At last someone with brains.

  • Yeah man, I mean, it happens so often on videos. I wonder if people even know that there is a video description sometimes...

  • lol the song is from lexy and k-paul

  • USP!!!

  • at first i thought this was cops

  • aye is an stupid australian thing, they have their own "english" which no one else understand.

  • @samfisherman007

I take offense to that :(

And lol, most of those weapon sounds were from Hitman Blood Money.

  • sorry, but i think its true.

  • I've never said "aye" once in my life, and not all of us have our own "english".

  • How do you figure the weapon sounds are from Hitman Blood Money when Hitman Blood Money came out in 2006, and Collateral came out in 2004?

  • @NerdInHisShoe

Because maybe I've got this movie on DVD and heard the original sounds... And maybe because the author said this in the description "We had to take an original piece of footage and remove ALL audio, then replace it by ourselves." And he probably replaced the original sounds with Hitman Blood Money Sounds...

  • Or maybe because I mentioned it in a comment at the begining...just a guess :)

There are some Call of Duty 2 sounds in there also!

  • this happens a lot because many movies and games use the same palette of dubbed sounds, because people can recognize them easier. there are a few ones that you can hear in almost any action movie at least one, often because the action isn't satisfactory loud enough to capture the right sfx. If you watch some john woo movies, they recycle many of their gunshot effects.

  • Spot On! This is the music they should have used.

  • no its not, this music sucks, it ruins the whole scene

  • sorry man, just saw your video info and saw that it was an assignment. If that was the case, then good job :)

  • Haha no problem.

  • that's not ready steady go!!!!!

  • its a remix. its korean style or something like that

  • que mierda es ese sonido

  • good work on that

  • loooool nh wats up wit Ready Steady Go ?

  • I love the sound of bones breaking :P

  • Haha cheers. did you ever play Silent Hill?

  • ya I thought that was awesome!

  • Thanks Victor!

  • OK, someone may poopoo me for saying it but this awesome, really well done, clever! I would have loved to seen the movie with this tune going, the original got on my nerves abit but this works! :)

  • No poo yet at least. Cheers for the comment!

  • the original track was a remix of paul oakenfold's ready steady go. i don't exactly know what remix

  • hahaha... "vincent's a white guy!"

  • First person to mention that :)

  • Let's just say that I did not know that this was a rerecording till I read the description...Good job on an awesome movie.

  • Haha great thanks for the comment.

  • Nice job with the sound editing! But the club really does seem dead without the original music :(

  • Cheers! aye doesn't live up to it alright.

  • To the other users that said it is the same song, it isn't. The original song was by Paul Oakland I believe and was also in the movie Swordfish (that was also a fantastic movie).

  • I mean Oakenfold

  • and also in the bourne identity mini car chase

  • Yeah hardly anyone makes that connection. worked very well in it too.

  • actually it wasnt. My mistake!

  • KingPunde he didnt ruin it the song was in the movie.

  • i love Tom!This's number1 film!!

  • thats right this is ahit

  • Damn right it's a hit! and cheers for the effort of making the nice comment!

  • Hey! This is not the real song! This scene featured a remix from Paul Oakenfold's "Ready Steady Go", which is far best than this shit.

  • read the information idiot, you are correct that this is not the original song

  • Good to see there's some Intelligent people on youtube. Thank you.

  • Good job on the piece, i'm sure you got a good mark.

  • Cheers Vinnie I did indeed!

  • You ruined it with the piece of shit song.

  • this was a good movie but miami vice sucked.

  • what's a beautiful film

  • Tom is a beast...

  • Cooooooold.

  • wat was ur grade?

  • Got a distinction and I just received an Apple Award yesterday, I'm well happy =D

Cheers for asking Tony, Merry Christmas! :P

  • OMG!OMG!WTF!

  • michael mann's best movie up to date, Miami

Vice was a dissappointment! hopefully he can

rebound to make anohter great movie.. btw

    Heat was the greatest!

  • Yeah heat was fantastic I agree with you on Miami Vice too!

  • Heat should stand up to the test of time by the time Aliens come down here and sift through the remnants. As for Miami, in complete agreement. Don`t know if it was Colin gazing in the mirror or what but it fucking annoyed me. Yes, awaiting the next one....probably his best yet I suspect

  • Damaged as in the way Americans say sick meaning funkin great! Funk Yeah!

  • wow, the club shootout level in Kane & Lynch looks ALOT like this, and i believe Kane is wearing the exact suit Tom Cruis's character is wearing also...great movie, great game

  • Nice, can't wait to play it. Especially get it's soundtrack.

  • best picture right here

  • Yeah tis a damn good film.

  • LOL the sound when he kicks the guard on the floor @ 2:22 XD awesomeness!!!!!!

  • Haha cheers! I'll tell you a secret...some of the sound is from Silent Hill :P

  • A great movie, but more importantly, the song from this scene (Ready, Steady, Go) is simply amazing... I dont know if it's considered techno, but it is by far the best song of its type!

  • Yeah it's pretty damn good, gets a little repetitive after a while though.

  • Ooops! I didn't mean this song... i thought this was the scene with the song "Ready, Steady, Go" but it's not. Sorry Dean Crumlish but check out the song I'm talking about, this isn't the right one, lol!

  • Read the info...

  • yeah but how stella got her grove back suck's

  • You daaaamn right suckuh

  • What fuck, that is not the real music soundtrack, real one is REady Steady Go by Paul Oakenfold

  • Please read the info

  • Yo!

What's the name of the song in this club?

    very good song

  • The track is The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl.

  • yeah but they must have some kind of remix in this movie, right?

  • Please read the information given at the side,

    and no I didn't use a remix.

  • aah, didn't see it

  • nice job! i like it!

  • hey hey hey wtf hey hey hey bow wow bow wow bow wow bow wow kay hay

  • i <3 this movie :)

and i liek the music in the club ;)

  • not quite as good as the original but still - good!

  • Yes they were fortunate to have a budget :)

    Cheers!

  • lol i didnt expeckt you to have millions like those directors :) you guys did a great job

  • FAKE!!

  • Explain yourself.

  • I forgot to ask, could you point me to where you got those pistol sounds? They sound amazing- totally... bassy and powerful sounding.

  • Great! thanks for the comment, the pistol sounds are actually from Hitman: Blood Money.

  • Awsome! The club music fit perfectly (maybe jack it up alittle bit over the chatter?)

  • I likes it!!!!

  • Did you show this video to your class? What was the reaction? I thought the music you selected fit really well.

  • I just handed it in today. Everyone has scattered off doing last minute work so I don't think many will see it, and the lecturer will see it when the moderator watches it I assume. Cheers again I always thought it would work well, don't ya just love when a plan comes together ;P

  • good effort! what's the name of the club music?

  • Cheers! The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl
