I'd like to see him talk a little more specifically to the solutions that he is proposing. Being an outsider and someone who is criticized as lacking the credentials to be President, I think he fails in giving speeches that mainly tout the "what's wrong" and uses only hyperbole to explain what he proposes to do about it. I like Herman Cain a lot, I just think that if he wants to win, his campaign is going to need to be more substantive than his competitors.
@weslee02 No. I don't think that is what I meant at all. The only thing I want for Mr. Cain is to have the best shot at winning as possible. I am looking forward to getting the chance to vote for him in the primary. Yet, understanding what he faces in order to get over his longshot status, it is my contention that he needs to come up with a very concise but complete way of stating what he is for. It is not good enough to say "fair tax" and leave it at that as if everyone understands.
Mr Cain gives more specifics than I've heard from anyone else. There's just no way he can lay it all out in speeches. He has a 5pt plan for taxes, all good to grow the economy. His plan for the Fair Tax is to spend 2 yrs educating us and gaining our support for it (I already support it) and then implementing it. Hmmm...he cares what we think and won't cram something down our throats.
@barbbtx I see you are enthusiastic about Herman Cain. I am too. A lot of people don't know anything about him. I haven't seen a Godfather's Pizza since I was a little kid. I disagree with the notion that he can't go into specifics in speeches. He should go through his 5 point plan and his surface topics in every speech but develop an in depth description of 1 point from his 5 points and rotate at each appearance.

He has a plan on immigration, and energy too.
