I am one of the two composers of an upcoming iOS game called Galaxy Pirate Adventure. If you are interested in my compositions you can check it out later.
I do transcriptions because I can learn other composers' technique in the transcription process.
Thanks! In fact I am a sound engineer/composer and need to edit MIDI and audio data everyday but my company only make low-priced electronic toys and gadgets (sound quality/complexity worse than SNES)
Oh wow. O_o So you mean to tell me that this soundtrack wasn't fully orchestrated? Could've fooled me, but then again I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to music.
By saying not perfect I mean the chords, notes, timings and use of instruments are not really same as the original. As a result, if someone copy the midi data I created and make a rearrangement from it without correcting those differences I can easily notice it.
Piano only midi data is available in the video description. I won't upload the EWQLSO+Truepianos version as it will not play properly on other computer (it is not GM/GS/XG compatible). If you are interested in my project setting I can upload another video showing the use of instruments, signal routing etc, like the one in watch?v=TtPo5lKZZIs
Thanks. It seems that Hamauzu also used some EWQLSO samples to compose FF113's music, that's why the sound quality is close. But I believe some of the instruments in the original version are real, not synthesized, especially the brass section.
Hey thanks! Recently I don't have some really good guitar and drum sound samples (not enough money =.=) to make Blinded by Light. But if you still want to see it you can watch it on my friend's channel (ifurkend). He used soundfont to make a pretty good Blinded by Light.
Thanks. Accuracy depends on the time I spent and the complexity of the music I need to transcript. I visited your channel and noted that other poeple also requested you to make a song. How much time do you need to make one in average? Happy to know that you speaks Cantonese too:D
Cool!!! Though the piano at the beginning sounds too awkward. Nice try, but that could be better.
Sorry to sound like that, its just the best part and I hope to see someone get it perfect :) Everything else is SO AWESOME!!!!!! Almost exact. I got chills from it. :D COuld you attempt "Born Again?" from FFXIII ;D
I would kill to get my hands on a copy of those sound libraries. lol But $500-1000 is too much. :( lol
Hey thanks, to tell the truth I am not a pianist so making this kind of things is pretty hard for me. I was struggling which notes should be deleted in order to make the score playable by a single player. I really want to see someone improve it and play it on a real piano and post a video response to me. For the libraries, they are not as expensive as you think. It cost less than $300 when there are discount. Also you can search soundsonline free-orchestra for a free starter version of EWQLSO.
Thanks for the comment! In fact I am attempting to rearrange this piece into a piano solo, when I finished it I will post the midi data on vgmusic or my homepage. For the orchestra version in this video, I will not post the midi data as it is not compatible with typical midi synthesizers.
Be sure to check the improved version written on the video description, some wrong chords and notes are corrected in this version ^_^
Awesome Translation. Very close to the original with those MIDI instruments. I have done two translations too (Fighting Fate and Valiant/Theme of the Calvary). Just Very GOOD indeed sir. Check Them Out when you get a chance.
Awesome translation with the Midi Sounds. Sounds really close to the original. You should score it. You would make a killing of views for sure. with all the instruments. I Translated 2 of the tracks too. Fighting Fate and Theme of the Calvary. I also wrote them out on piano for fan made purposes too. :)
Both Sibelius 6 and Finale 2010. Yes I love to use Reason 4 Software. I also apologize for double posting as well. I am still debating on which one i would want to work on next. ( Born Anew or Eden Under Siege.) Both of those are epic as well. I like to Score it as i put it together on Reason 4 and then play it on piano at the High School I work for. Oh yeah I think you should score this somehow like using Noteworthy Composer 2 Software. Very Easy to use
