Skrillex is bad. His music is just another branch of commercial dubstep, grimy and overtly American. This is pure old school 2 step British dub. Not grimy, just melodic and relaxed with rolling baselines, crossing between breaks and drum and bass. Its music like this that paved the way for skrillex to produce his 'dubstep'. Its good he appreciates the old historic stuff tho

Can the people point out any other artists (or particular tracks) that are progressive dubstep, in terms of emotion and artistry. I like a dancefloor edge but I'm all about finding the future pioneers. Any tip-offs?

This is more like funky/garage to my ears so if you mean progressive as in not the standard format dubstep, I'd recommend you try finding some El-B, Duncan Powell, Joy Orbison etc hopefully that helps, it's a difficult question, all dubstep since 2003 has been progressive imo, constantly changing for the better
