Yep if they would of thrown the caution when they were suppose to Mark would of won, but they didnt and racing hack harvick won by bad officiating. Also David Gilliland almost flew into the fence where the fans where cause they were racing to the flag while cars are wrecking. Terrible officiating. Why didnt they let Kyle and Carl finish the coke zero 400 while the others where wrecking? Sucks how nascar make up shit as they go. I hope Mark wins the title next year and wreck harvick.

I just call it like i see it and agreed with the other 90% that said Martin would of won so it's not just my opinion (it was on windtunnel). I actually think Mark should retire and give a seat to some young prospect. But since that old geezer is staying i hope he wins the title. If its about safety which nascar always preaches then they should of thrown the caution. they didnt and everybody raced to the flag. Look at David Gilliland's close call with the catch fence. luckly he was able to stop.

ok.. but my oppion is if they can race back to the line without any problems then they should keep it green.. but in this case the front 2 cars didnt have any problems in front of them..it was everyone else behind them.

Thats true. And it did make for an exciting finish. But cars that were in the back were still racing to the finish line dodging wrecked cars. They threw the yellow out at the Coke Zero 400 when there was a big wreck happening in turn 1 and spoiled that finish. And at dega too. Personally i wish they would race back to the flag. But nascar preaches safety. They did with those 2 races but at the 500 they let the carnage go and didnt throw the flag. They just need to make up their damn mind.

Well the hockey puck-shaped thing is the housing for the camera that is on the roof. The signal for all the cameras in/on a car go out through an antenna. If you see a car up close, there are actually 2 antennae, one for the driver's radio and the other for the cameras. I couldn't tell you what it is that you saw in the back window. Is there a video that shows this that I can watch?

I don't think there is. When I sat in Kyle Petty's 2003 cup car I saw a transmitter looking thing right under the back window. Doesn't every car have the housing for the camera btw?

I'm not sure what it is, sorry.  Every car does indeed have the housing as a rule because they change the aerodynamics of the car, and it wouldn't be fair if only some cars had them.

the reason the cam went out, is becasue there is 2 antenna's on each car, the yare thin and small ,s you can't see them when they are moving, but , one is the 2-way radio for the team communication

the other in the telemetry box (Trackpass, Tv coverege, and on-board feed, went he flipped over, the telemetry antenna either broke off or was badly bent, so the feed stopped, trackpass cut his car back to the bouncing in the pits (which means it lost the feed)

Actually it doesn't take damaging the antenna to stop the signal. When Waltrip flipped in 2004, the signal cut out but then when they were hauling the car away on the flatbed the camera signal was coming through again. I think it was simply because the antenna was pointing down to the ground.
