One of the most familiar statements I hear from Mormons is "families are forever." Unfortunately, it seems that KEY Mormon Doctrines work against this. A child is sealed to his/her family - for time and eternity, but if he or she marries a Mormon, he/she is sealed to the spouse - who has lready been sealed to his/her family. - Which sealing takes priority? Also, the goal of exultation further complicates this. Instead of being together, the BEST Mormon families will be WORLDS apart. :(
Awesome video! I am a teen reading the book of Mormon, and is very much wanting to convert! I love to see familes being so close! I can't wait to be sealed with my family someday!
@baritonesinger95 Thank you for your comment. I was baptized when I was 20. My mother and brother are still not, but I hope and pray for the opportunity to make temple covenants with them. Always read the Book of Mormon and you will always have the spirit as your guide. If you are thinking of a mission at all I can promise you one of the greatest experiences of your life as you love and server your brothers and sisters. Take care and God speed!
@baritonesinger95 Why do you think that you need the promise of men to be with your family? Who ever said that you wouldn't be with them? They are selling a bridge in the desert my friend! Promising you something that you already possess... besides which according to LDS doctrine it is IMPOSSIBLE to be seperated! D&C 88 tells of God, who is IN and OF and THROUGH ALL THINGS! It also mentions an angel that will place one foot on land and the other on sea and blow a trumpet and declare TIME tocease
@baritonesinger95 In other words...TIME DOESN'T EXIST!!! You are both STILL WITH GOD, and ALREADY RETURNED TO HIM!!! Every moment of your life you live FOREVER...so you'd better enjoy what you're doing today! :) What exactly does it mean to be sealed? Are you duct taped together or do they use Elmer's Glue? Are grown children, who would then be "sealed" to their own spouses still living in their parent's Heavenly Mansion? But wouldn't the parents be residing in their own parents Heavenly abode?
@baritonesinger95 No one ever explains exactly what "sealing" is...they just convince everyone that they want it... What about widows and widowers who get sealed to 3 people in this life? Which family are they sealed to in eternity? Or are they all sealed together in a big clump? What about all the people throughout history that have been sold or forced into marriages (millions and millions) because they had children through those relations, Mormons have them "sealed" to their rapists and
@baritonesinger95 abusers FOREVER... because children have a "RIGHT" to be "sealed" to their parents. Do you really think these people want to be forcibly stuck with these abusive relationships forever??? Even widows who choose to be married for TIME will be "sealed" to their 2nd spouse against their will, if they have children. Is that Heaven? Is that Agency? It is an unnecessary complication to this life, to choose mates based upon who's sealed to who in the hereafter!!! It is emotional
@baritonesinger95 blackmail and Fear Mongering!!! See my video on Monson's conference talk last conference "The Most Horrible Story I Ever Herad..." Just because a Spirit answers you doesn't mean its from God! Just because you get a response you were TOLD you would get, doesn't make it mean what you were TOLD it means! ANY SPIRIT can communicate that way! My husband did after he died. Living people(who also have Spirits) can do it too!
