I live upstate New York and we've never had a supercell thunderstrom hit but we have had Severe thunderstorms with whats called a hook action and if there is enough rotation in the clouds a tornado can form. We have had an F2 touch down with sustained winds in access of 140 mph in Westcheaster in the the summer of 2006 and the whole town looked like warzone.

On the tape it says this video was shot at 11:00 pm, and 12:00am, power was out until 2:30am. Power was out precisely from 11:45pm-2:30am, to be precise 2 hours 45min.

This is a really good video. I was jut outside of Wetaskiwin at the time with my friend. And the power went out and a tree almost hit the window. The hail strom almost ripped apart their house. And a small tornado went over top of us. It was cool but quite scary.

Were you near Leduc? Because there was a tornado that snaked horizontally to the south before touchdown. I drove underneath it. Was mind-blowing!
