  • Good job

  • WAHOO!!!

  • good cover man! sort your tone out tho, turn the gain down and add a little bass!

  • ure black key covers are frustratingly inaccurate

  • Well done, brother.

  • hey man i really dig your guitar. what brand?

  • Is that an Epiphone? I think I have the same deal

  • u hurt my ears :( BUT I LIKEEE

  • nice cover

  • everyone just except that its an awesome cover as far as they go...............:)

    hi five

    i suck at this song

  • good sound, dan uses some pretty ballsy fuzz sounds live so I think the gain is fine. I would suggest though, maybe use a lighter touch in the verses, for a bigger contrast and impact when the chorus busts in. Also, that's a sweet guitar, what kind is it?

  • By the looks of the headstock and the lp type body that's a bit off it looks like a Samick Avion...but I might be wrong.

  • you are all a little too heavy about it all

  • You play very good man, but may i suggest more mids?

  • Yes, great playing but you need more mids in the tone. Maybe too much gain?

  • The Mississippi Fred McDowell video "Goin Down to the River" is priceless. You should definatly check it out dude. For Bukka White hearing him is better I believe. My faves are "Parchman Farm Blues" , "High Fever Blues" , and "Fixen To Die Blues" oh yeah and "Columbus Blues" where he slaps his National.

  • Dude I don't know if you dig delta blues but, you should check out some of the old guys. Muddy Waters, Fred McDowell, Bukka White, Mississippi John Hurt, and John Lee Hookers early stuff might be cool to you.

  • yea, hey thanks alot. i definatley listen to muddy waters, junior kimbrough, and bo diddley (R.I.P) alot. some of the other guys you listed there i'm not so familar with, but will certainly look up. thanks again. its funny how influential these old timers are in all forms of music. the blues, and more importantly delta blues, really shaped music into what it is today. without these guys all there would be is techno. and with that i would shoot myself in the face.

  • Mississippi John Hurts "You Got to Walk That Lonesome Valley" video is one of my faves also. I would recommend reading this guys online bio. Dude came from nothing, died with nothing, and is still remembered by the modern greats.

  • @mbmark1 check out son house too.

  • yeah nice vids i think the black keys songs are great to learn.

  • thanks man. their tunes sure are great to learn, rather easy, but full of great blues grunge sound. priceless in my eyes.

  • i dig your black keys covers man, keep posting them

  • thanks alot man. appreciate it. should have a few more new ones up shortly.

  • hey what kind of effects do you use on your guitar?

  • on this tune i am running a digitech board sample "texas blues" through a fuzz pedal

  • the new album is horrible, no soul.

  • really, i think your crazy. i think its so tight. its definately more commercial and "studio" sounding, but i think it shows a different side to the keys. how can you not like the jazz flute on same old thing. a great touch.

  • They sound like the White Stripes now, its not nearly as raw. I do like 2 maybe 3 songs on the album but overall I was very dissapointed. And believe me I can play a lot of their songs pretty well and the guitar playing isn't nearly as good as the other albums.

  • true that. magic potion and there other albums certainly are more raw sounding, and you can definately hear what danger mouse brought to the table, but i feel dan's voice alone seperates them from the white stripes, and also pat blows meg out of the water in my opinion. but i do hear where your coming from. i'm interested in what they'll sound like live with this new material. seeing them on the 12th. take care bro

  • if you knew the white stripes sound you'd know how raw they really are but every band gets a little less raw with each album. the same thing goes for the black keys.

  • It sounds different, yes, but it still is raw. It doesn't have the blantant whammy rapage that Jack White uses on every solo, and it has a different groove to it.

If you see them play Oceans and Streams or I Got Mine live, you'd get how raw their sound still is.

  • true that. one of the best newer bands out there in this shithole new age music industry.

  • Tight.. new album is so good if you like his guitar work, its a little more "bluesy" this time around

  • thanks man. yea the new album kicks serious ass.

  • So nice!

  • mint guitar playing, like, but you playing some wrong notes on the chorus. just listen to the song again. shame cos you played it well...

  • Dude, he is not dan auerbach. And Dan doesn't play it not for note live anyway. He played it how he felt it should sound and did a good job

  • hey thanks man. i do tend to play this song a little differntly than dan at times, but anyway you play it, it rocks, i love this song, can't wait to see them in april!!

  • Me either, I am seeing them at the Wiltern or the Glass House.

That is one of my faves by them. What kind of gear are u using?

  • yeah, but dan auerbach dosnt deviate from the original recording like this... he kinda improvises alot, but he dosnt change the basic structure of the song...

  • Have you ever seen them live? He'll change a lot of things as he sees fit.

  • man u rock

    awesome guitar btw

    wat is it

  • song rips
