I've seen several responses to your videos and decided to check you out myself. After watching several of your videos I am still thoroughly confused how anyone could get much out of any of them. I'm afraid you are not well spoken and your comments are so sporatic and inconsistent in topic and cadence that I find it difficult to follow you at all. I would recomend maybe a script or notes or rehearsing? I'm 7 videos in and still have no idea what the hell you're getting at most of the time.

If I look at avg IQ by race it doesn't tell me that some races are smarter than others. It tells me a different story and as a social scientist it is my job to find out what those other variables are. @Mystic i saw a show on it and read about it - rushton has some of this stuff, and no RUSHTON does not do all the field research, don't confine this stuff to the few that put it all together. people keep doing that... Graves, as per life history evolution within the Rushton paradigm, attempts to throw it into a Boas kind of stream... i've said that Murray and Rushton have both hurt their reporting of the basic observational data by trying to apply cause/effect explanations and social agendas....

Most of his articles online fixate on race and IQ. I haven't read much about racial differences in personality so I was hoping you could share your sources. In any case advocates of such ideas are faced with the same challenge of providing evidence that there is a genetic component to these alleged trends.

@hitssquad Several scholars including the authors recognized a number of methodological flaws in the Minnesota Trans-Racial Adoption study and its results have been interpreted to support either a genetic or environmental explanation or neither. What infant-behavior studies are you referring to? Richard Nisbett provided alot of compelling evidence against a genetic hypothesis for the cause of the Black-White IQ gap including adoption, intervention and racial admixture studies.

@hitssquad Yes I read both of those. I've debated people on message boards who defended Rushton and Jensen with those articles. I emailed Nisbett and Flynn to ask them questions about some of the arguments against their work. If you have specific questions or comments to make I'm prepared to discuss this research.
@hitssquad In their reply to Nisbett in response to the racial admixture studies he cited Rushton and Jensen claim that Nisbett's studies are very old. The insinuation is that their age is a reflection on their relevance. They go on to reference counter studies including a study on the correlation between skin color and IQ which has a correlation value (.17) as low as many of Nisbett's studies. They go on to list brain weight data from studies as old as 1906.
@hitssquad *publication date. There are alot of problems with that article. Nisbett says he did not reply because Rushton and Jensen offer nothing new. He further stated that he doesn't take Rushton seriously while he considered Jensen a more credible scholar he has heard that Rushton signs Jensen's names to his latest papers to give them more credibility with academic journals (Jensen is very old). Flynn and Dickens replied to that other article you listed.
@hitssquad I brought this to Nisbett's attention and he challenged the logic by asking the simple question....what is the half life of a finding? Perhaps if Nisbett's studies had been superseded by more recent studies the way Bean (1906) and Pearl (1934) are by Tobias (1970) and Rushton and Jensen had been specific about their rejection of this research's validity they would have an argument. But they don't. They basically dismiss them based on publication data (hypocrisy?).

Differences in culture and environment seem to be the cause of group differences in IQ not biology. There are average differences in IQ between groups with different racial and ethnic backgrounds because intelligence is not being equally nurtured among these groups. This inequality is primarily caused by the effects of institutionalized racism. Structured inequality has lead to different cultural trends and disparities in the quality of the standard of living among many racial/ethnic groups.

First of all your claim is false. It has not been proven empirically that brain size determines intelligence level. Brain complexity is highly impacted by the quality of environment (nutrition, mental stimulation etc.). Lieberman (2001) provided evidence that there is no racial hierarchy in brain size.

Race as defined in the US:
African,
Caucasian.
Asian(Indians are now seen as this they use to be Caucasian)
Pacific Islander
Middle Eastern (this one is new they use to be considered Caucasian)
all these groups have hundreds of ethnicity, cultures, traditions, vary largely in eye color, height, weight, etc etc. even language. I ignore claims of correlation between race and IQ for this reason. To say is illogical is to say that social science & anthropology don't have a place in science.

This view and definition I have given you is exclusively an anglo-saxon view on race. From a Sino view on this they differentiate the cultural norms, and if they're similar to han-chinese then they have a more elevated status. the notion of race is a complete social fabrication and is intellectually lazy.

especially when correlating race with IQ which ignores a lot of other variables that have a stronger influence on determining a person's IQ. If I look at avg IQ by race it doesn't tell me that some races are smarter than others. It tells me a different story and as a social scientist it is my job to find out what those other variables are. @Mystic i saw a show on it and read about it - rushton has some of this stuff, and no RUSHTON does not do all the field research, don't confine this stuff to the few that put it all together. people keep doing that... Graves, as per life history evolution within the Rushton paradigm, attempts to throw it into a Boas kind of stream... i've said that Murray and Rushton have both hurt their reporting of the basic observational data by trying to apply cause/effect explanations and social agendas....

Most of his articles online fixate on race and IQ. I haven't read much about racial differences in personality so I was hoping you could share your sources. In any case advocates of such ideas are faced with the same challenge of providing evidence that there is a genetic component to these alleged trends.

@hitssquad Several scholars including the authors recognized a number of methodological flaws in the Minnesota Trans-Racial Adoption study and its results have been interpreted to support either a genetic or environmental explanation or neither. What infant-behavior studies are you referring to? Richard Nisbett provided alot of compelling evidence against a genetic hypothesis for the cause of the Black-White IQ gap including adoption, intervention and racial admixture studies.

@hitssquad In their reply to Nisbett in response to the racial admixture studies he cited Rushton and Jensen claim that Nisbett's studies are very old. The insinuation is that their age is a reflection on their relevance. They go on to reference counter studies including a study on the correlation between skin color and IQ which has a correlation value (.17) as low as many of Nisbett's studies. They go on to list brain weight data from studies as old as 1906.

@hitssquad *publication date. There are alot of problems with that article. Nisbett says he did not reply because Rushton and Jensen offer nothing new. He further stated that he doesn't take Rushton seriously while he considered Jensen a more credible scholar he has heard that Rushton signs Jensen's names to his latest papers to give them more credibility with academic journals (Jensen is very old). Flynn and Dickens replied to that other article you listed.

@hitssquad I brought this to Nisbett's attention and he challenged the logic by asking the simple question....what is the half life of a finding? Perhaps if Nisbett's studies had been superseded by more recent studies the way Bean (1906) and Pearl (1934) are by Tobias (1970) and Rushton and Jensen had been specific about their rejection of this research's validity they would have an argument. But they don't. They basically dismiss them based on publication data (hypocrisy?).

Differences in culture and environment seem to be the cause of group differences in IQ not biology. There are average differences in IQ between groups with different racial and ethnic backgrounds because intelligence is not being equally nurtured among these groups. This inequality is primarily caused by the effects of institutionalized racism. Structured inequality has lead to different cultural trends and disparities in the quality of the standard of living among many racial/ethnic groups.

First of all your claim is false. It has not been proven empirically that brain size determines intelligence level. Brain complexity is highly impacted by the quality of environment (nutrition, mental stimulation etc.). Lieberman (2001) provided evidence that there is no racial hierarchy in brain size.
