2008 Menominee pow wow drums

in my Menominee language class they said why baby's sleep at pow wow's cuz they are listing to there mother's heart beat

First off I am not native so if I say something wrong it is due to my own ignorance. But I have been to a couple pow wows and the drumming always has such a powerful effect on me. To me, in my mind, I think of the drumming as the sound of the heartbeat of Mother Earth. It just reverberates through me. I was camping about 5 miles from the pow wow site and the drums from the early morning ceremony could be heard and felt those 5 miles away. Something everyone should experience once, a pow wow
