@RRT3am Those may all be valid points. Can you offer some proof? Consider this, occasionally an American built race car wins at a foreign track too... Corvette has been #1 many times on the European road racing circuits, just for one example... It beat Porsche, Ferrari and BMW for those wins. Search for Corvette Racing on YouTube for some proof.

@exemplar1 In what European Racing Series does Corvette win? Again? What proof you need from me? You can't find the Pike's Peak site yourself or what? US cars race on your ground mostly. Not that the Vette ZR1 is a bad car, not at all. Neither is the Viper, or the Saleen. And if you are talking about ZR1's times on Nurburgring, please .. times from different track conditions, temps, drivers can hardly be compared ... they ain't running even on same day or week.

@RRT3am Okay. For starters, Corvette has won the 24 hours at LeMans (that's in France) 5 times. The most recent victory was this year. It beat out Aston Martin to win. Another Corvette in this year's race placed 7th. In GTR racing in the 90's, Corvette dominated, placing 1st and 2nd. Corvette also won at the Larbre Competition this year (also a French Track).

Now, I asked you for proof first, yet I provided proof quickly when I was challenged. Your turn to step up.

@exemplar1 so tired of this straight line BS. drag racing and touring are as different as foot ball and soccer. the cars are set up for straight line... so what? i've seen third gen camaros beat out BMWs and porsches on road courses. so what the hell is the point of arguing about straight line vs road course? they're completely different sports. i am in complete and total agreeance with you. @exemplar1 and i saw a brand new camaro beat mazdas, kias, porsches, bmw's and an assorted bunch of euro and JDM cars (yes i know kia isn't JDM) on a touring car race on the speed channel with two mustangs getting podium finishes behind it. so this whole american vs everything else on road courses is bunk. it comes down o the pits, the race type, the driver, and the best set up for the ride.

@junglemonkeysex The point was to respond to someone who believes all American cars are junk. He thought that no American car had ever won a road course race in Europe. I proved him wrong. He has been quiet ever since. I am in agreement with you on Camaros and such beating out so many other cars. Team Donohue did quite well with first gen Camaros back in the day as well.

@ARROWW13 Don't worry about the gas. It only makes short trips 1/4 mile at a time. Besides some fat cat with a big boat goes through 3-4 hundred gallons in an afternoon.
