I live in Nevada, dirty harry reids play ground where his union thugs run the schools, and we've got the worst schools in the nation. Hmmmmmmm, maybe liberals and judges and unions shouldn't be involved with education? Maybe we should fire most of our under achieving, over opinionated way over paid teachers and hire an out of work vet to do their jobs. It couldn't possibly get any worse.
THE TEACHERS ARE ROBBING US . THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT TEACHING THE KIDS . ALL THEY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT IS THERE PAYCHECKS . DON"T LAY OFF THE COPS LAY OFF THE OVER PAID TEACHERS WHO ARE ROBBING US
Chris Christie is New Jersey's saviour. I can't imagine what disaster would have happened if Jon Corzine had been re-elected. I am a conservative Republican and I expected Chris Christie to do a better job than Corzine, but he has far exceeded my expectations and I am amazed by how he has taken on an entrenched broken system of government and respected the taxpayers who pay the bills! GO CHRISTIE! YOU ARE AWESOME!
Gov. Christ Christie is a strong leader that our country is in dire need of. He is not a stupid weakling that goes around apologizing for America and hugging dictators.
yeah, I want a politician and former lobbyist for the SEC making my laws and stacking my court. Lets throw the judges out while were at it.. who needs justice, anyway?
yeah, I want a politician and former lobbyist for the SEC making my laws and stacking my court. Lets throw the judges out while were at it.. who needs justice, anyway?
As a former lobbyist for a controversial internet university, a lobbyist for the energy industry and a lobbyist for the Securities Industry Assoc., and as the husband of a Wall Street Investment banker, I am not so sure Governor Christie is too concerned about the working people in New Jersey and after settling numerous slander and defamation law suits out of court... I'm not sure if I can believe anything he says!!!
You will see the results in a very short time. He is not as good as he looks. I voted for him and it was a scam. He is not an honest man and I believe that he will get recalled or worse the legislature will start to fight back and he will get nothing done. He refuses to work with anyone and that will eventially cause a huge riff in NJ. I also think he is a one term governor that is looking to make a splash and move on to Washington at the expense of the middle class of NJ. You can have him
Dear Mr. Chris Christie, When you get done fixing your state can you please come to California and get rid of idiots like Arnold, Whitman and all the other fake conservatives? Please fix our broken state. But maybe you can just be President and clean out the garbage in DC. Oh gee, there are so many places this nation is broken. Can you just clone yourself a few dozen times? Or can you give us a list of people that are as smart as you and as ethical.
I hope you all get what you want. He wants to ruin public schools becasue his kids go to a private school and he wants the rich to get more tax breaks. Stripping school funding does not decrease taxes, it only puts more of the burden on the tax payer's property taxes. Any fool can see that this will make New Jersey, currently ranked number 1 in the nation, fall to the bottom of the heap like California did years ago. NJ will be ranked below Mississippi and Alabama just like Ca!
The Public School system is broken! I can't for the life of me understand why Anyone would put a child in that system. Close all Public Schools and make parents train their own children.
That would absolutely put the burden on the Mother and Father to educate their children where it belongs. The Public Schools are indoctrination centers for the Progressives.
@msanthropez That is a wonderful idea if we can afford to pay every parent to stay home and educate their child. I believe that mnay students are doing well and those results can be seen by teh number of college graduate that are coming from our public schools.
This is an easy one. Every child is costing the tax payer here in Texas $18,600. per year to attend Public Schools. Give that money to parents for each of their children and let the parents decide how to educate each child. This 18,600. dollars is only for grades pre-K to 12, this does not include college.
The best way to quickly raise a states educational standards is to lower the amount of money invested in welfare programs. California has the highest payouts for welfare. So we have generations of people on welfare. And more keep flocking in. They have no reason to study since thier parents already showed them how to live.
@johnknoefler I have no issue with your reasoning. As a matter of fact I cannot believe the amount of people on welfare and the handouts that are constantly given to people who simply do not want to work, but I do not believe in taking it out on teh children. You have to at least give them a chance to be different.
@hammerin1 Do you realize that public schools are failing our kids eventhough spending has more than tripled since 1970, adjusted for inflation. In California, LA public schools receive $28,000 per student but most schools have a dropout rate of 40% or more. In Washington DC, congress just ended a successful voucher program that improved thousands of students in DC - they are ahead in reading by 2 years in choice schools than the public schools. I heard that Newark has a 50% dropout rate.
What's so perverse is because the link between school funding and performance is so weak, the lawyers argues that means you need to spend a TON!
The problem is structural. The teachers unions have a monopoly on public education, and we get what people get whenever there is a monopoly, a poor product at a high price.

You are all crazy. This man is insane. This little clip means nothing. You should see what it really happening. He will ruin all public schools, because his kids go to private school. His wife makes 800,000 a year and he is killing middle class. This man is a loser. Believe me. You need to be here to really understand.
@hammerin1 No, you're crazy. He's trying to help NJ's middle class by not taxing them into the poorhouse. This guy makes more sense than any other politician out there. If you disagree with what he's saying, it's a pretty safe bet that you need to go to the doctor, to get an MRI, because you have an obvious issue with your brain.
@hammerin1 Government schools are ruining themselves and its the fault of the Teachers Union. My kids go to private school and we sacrifice to pay for it while public schools get THREE or FOUR TIMES the amount per student each year.
@DisEm Oh No u don't ! like if u get 1 F then ur held back for the year cause the school doesn't have money for summer school or field trips. He says his helping but really his not.
@ingreat789 Well maybe you should focus on not getting F's... When there's no money stuff has to get cut.. it's simple economics. 'He says his helping' ... sounds like you did get an F huh?
Basically, what he's saying is, I want your money, and I want it now!
