  • why does she have so many videos where she falls on the stage? I saw three!!

  • I don't care how slow it is, how does she get all that starch in her dress?

  • i used to be in ballet, i wish i could continue it but its not offered in my town

  • I like her feet :)

  • IMHO:

for me the important part is: when I see a variation, does it give me the impression of a dancing sugar plum fairy? Can I imagine that a fairy moves like that to this music?

If the answer is yes, the variation fullfilled its goal.

Is it true for this one?

    yes, it is.

    Everything else is nitpicking.

  • she can dance and understand shes working with what shes been given but there no feeling to it prefer other productions of seen

  • it's not really a good ballerina. Svetlana Zakharova and natalia osipova are better.

  • the turn sequence at 1:09 is seriously once of the hardest things i could ever imagine doing. this pretty much proves that dancers are athletes.

  • Trying to learn how to hold a parouite and how to do a good jete/leap

  • I'm not a ballerina, but she looks like a good dancer, just not good chreography

  • In the beginning I thought: Wow... she looks kinda tall. And then she was standing almost next to the other dancers and i was like: she's so cute and tiny xD

    Wonderful performance =)

  • this version of the variation is probably the most similar to the one my previous school performs. It differs but follows the basic stage pattern. I respect these versions a lot more than the slow and small version you see most schools performing today. YAY challenging choreography!

  • She is a beautiful dancer but she needs to work on her emotions. And everybody needs to work on their technique!

  • i wish she didn't look down so much, and i wish her emotions showed more. she's a beautiful dancer.

  • the best dance or performance of the sugar plum fairy in the human history is with Ekaterina Maximova in 1958, watch it ...

you see? that is real ballet!! I mean discipline and emotion!! :)

  • I lovvve her dress.

  • i think often it´s a matter of taste. i like her interpretation like by many of the prima ballerinas in the world. a lot of variations are so beautiful and makes people happy

  • she's climbing to pointe

  • she did NOT do a very good job. variation did not go with the music at all. she needs some work!!

  • @mckenzi24 umm that was rude!! I think she did a great job. she is not the choreographer so it is not her fault if it doesn't go with the music

  • @balletgurl45 no it was not rude its just my opinion! i was in ballet since i was 3 and i teach it so i know what im talking about. Both her and the choreographer both need work obviously. so u have your opinion and i have my opinion

  • @mckenzi24

you ARE soooooo rude. I was also in ballet since i was 3 and I teach to so you can just be quite. like what happens when she looks to see if she has many veiws? Of course she is gonna read the comments and so would I so when she does I say that she is amazing. I wish I had a body like her.

  • @balletlover64 No im not rude so pull the stick out of ur ass! and if u were in ballet and teach it wouldnt u some what have a body like that?? umm yea okay. and you know what she can look on here i dnt give a rats ass, truth and opinions hirt but every one has a right to voice those, so maybe u should bakk off of everyone that says it wasnt good cause it aint gunna get u any where!

  • @mckenzi24 not to be rude, but just because you're in ballet you don't necessarily have a body like that. My best friend ( a ballerina too) has a very different body from me and so does my teacher. And we're in the same level. well not my teacher but you get my point...

  • @mckenzi24 You are rude. Maybe for once you aren't rite.Forget what I said. I am going to quit being polite. YOU ARE WRONG! "If you were in ballet and teach it..." blah blah blah!Just quit talking. And maybe you should just back off K!!! Maybe you should just shut up."Truth and opinion hirt..." ya they hurt sometimes. Exept when they aren't true like yours! So like you said, "bakk off" except this time, it should say bakk off of everyone that says it was good cause it aint gunna get you anywhere"

  • @mckenzi24 COMPLETELY AGREE!

  • @mckenzi24 and i honestly don't find that rude, you're just saying..... no offense to anyone..

  • legs look deformed....yuck

  • i like it:)))

  • love the 1:32-1:42 sequance.i think it's one of the best fits with the music i've seen.

  • Meeeeeeee encanta esta variacion *-*

  • Is it just me or does the variation not go with the music??

  • can one be on demi pointe in pointe shoes?

  • @smoochX3 obviously.

  • @drama917queen woooaaaaa!

  • @drama917queen um that was rude. thats not obvious to someone who's not familiar with ballet.

  • it's not really good becuz she bends her knees when she posés and ur not supposed to do that

  • @HoneyRose168

if you notice it is a part of the choreography. she was needed a "plied" leg because a little spring hop followed after with her leg in attitude.

    :43

  • Awwww the sugar plum fairy

  • When you see this performed by any Royal ballerina and the same variation performed by a Vaganova ballerina you can clearly see the diferences between the two methods!

I myself prefer to watch and dance in Vaganova method! Way more vivid!

  • I have never liked Ballet, never wanted to dance, and never understood the appeal. Until I watched this. Beautiful.

  • whats the title of this song????

  • don't like this chick. don't dance this dance anymore

  • it would have been better if the dress was not white, it kinda gives an impression of a swan not a fairy.

  • She's good, but this version seems waaay tooo slooow.

  • @lazzisa Watch Ekaterina Maximova and you will see the speed...

  • incredibly lackluster

  • you had incredible control coming out of your fouette it was amazing i don't understand how people could dislike and have problems with this you are gorgeous

  • This variation is a hard one - Grigorovitch version. The dancer did great job executing it.

  • i saw this variation and the same choreography by bolshoi ballet featuring Natalya Arkhipova, and.. i dont know... this ballerina was ok but the other was more energic and follow the music all the time, i prefer the Natalya performance.

  • Yo person what the heck are you doing? for one what happend to pink? two ummm. dudet did you get the wrong music i mean it just doesn't work although she is a very good ballerina ~ kara's friend

  • i really like this variation, she has beautiful lines

  • this seems sooooooo slow. i really like the choreography though, very pretty.

  • what ever happened 2 sugar plum wearing pink?......

now she looks like the snow queen!

  • Comment removed

  • she is supposed to bent her n=knees it is a hop ...too slow though

  • I liked it except for the italian fouettes. They seemed kind of awkward and out of place.

  • not very good performence...

  • she seems more busy with the steps than with the music.

i mean i have the impression that she is not going up in the music.

  • The choreography was very interesting, I enjoyed it very much!

  • i like the choreography and the way she danced it. it is very unique.

  • That is not the right coreography!!!

  • The ballerina is very good but her choreography does not seem to exactly follow the music at all times. The version with Larissa Lezhnina of the Kirov Ballet for this variation is better from that point of view I think (watch?v=vH9vYiqDX5o) ... but then again I'm no expert.

  • @mavrikha I agree

  • I don't like the choreography:P

  • The music's tortuously slow!!! She doesn't look like she's dying, but I just kind of feel her pain.

  • her box looked untouched when she was dancing. Embiotes.... (all that can be said)

  • I really enjoyed this, but it didn't look like she was going all the way over her pointe.

  • she was a little sloppy on the pirouettes... but for the most part, she was awesome :)

  • OMG, As a dancer, I loved this! Whoever danced this i tip my hat to them!

  • I'm not a dancer but I think ballet is beautiful :) So I can't give any constructive criticism. HOWEVER I CAN say that I enjoyed this performance, even though I have seen better.. She's not a bad ballet dancer, if she was bad they wouldn't have let her dance the sugarplum dairy dance now would they! :) To each their own.

  • was that a waterfall in the background? :) good job

  • she bent her knees...kinda distracted me

  • i dont like the vaganova method of springing up into point. it distracted me...but it was beautiful

  • agreed, neither do i but it was still an amazing performance

  • Comment removed

  • i thought it was pretty clean :) good job

  • dont be like that she tried ever soo hard.

  • Hmm...not a fan of this variation....

  • This variation set that way, and it was set by Yuri Grigorovich at Bolshoi Ballet a long time ago, please do your home work before leave comments, watch youtube and compare it. But thank you for comments. Please understand correctly liking or disliking is your right, but judging tech is different, specially when performance performed by professional company

  • @balletbalet jeez, it was just a question!

and who does homework on ballet?

  • @themistytangelos, This is a flawless performance to Yuri Grigorovich's production.

First proper grammar would be appreciated simply out respect to the art itself. As far a theory and Technique, when an arabasque or develope' is perform with it a bent knee, it then become en fondu. This is a Russian Ballet they invented PERFECTION in flawless performance. Study your history of ballet.

  • @balletblue55 ..This was a VERY lackluster performance.

  • @themistytangelos An arabesque with a bent knee is called an attitude, dumbass. She danced this perfectly.

  • @themistytangelos for the record it isn't an arabesque its an attitude, that's why her kness are bent.

  • i didnt really like it every time si had to stand on one shoes ze bent her knee... kind o sloppy

  • really great. i hate that it cut off before she was done

  • @LiyahandLanashow The music was out of sync, too bad. :(

  • i only didnt like the way she bent her wrists. other than that she was gorgeous

  • And I am pretty sure she didn't post it herself. This is for entertainment and constructive criticism, not rude comments.

  • That's pretty rude. If you aren't at a high enough level to post videos, then what makes you think you have the right to criticize someone who has posted a video? I thought it was a very nice variation and she danced it well. If you don't have nice things to say then you shouldn't say anything at all.

  • really pretty! I love how her steps matched the music, even though it made her appear to dance slower. It was a lot easier to watch than videos of the Sugar Plum Fairy doing moves "faster" but not in time to the music. She's a beautiful dancer!

  • It is a bit crude and unrefined but it looks like she's really having fun and trying her best. I'm sure she'll only improve if she keeps at it.

  • lovely!!!

  • amaaaazinnnng! (:

  • she is really amazing!!!

  • Beautiful! Very well done! Your turnout is really pretty!

  • So... What's your point?

  • she dances as if shes on dope,

i dont think she is a real ballerina,, looks more like a gymnast or amateur

  • its not a crime to be an average dancer. she's better than me. i think she's ok.

  • well im sorry that is an opinion She is better than I am so I think she is good

  • well..then maybe you should be considering changing your hobby

  • too bad you're too much of a jerk for your opinion to count.

  • A real ballerina!?

Everyone that dances ballet and loves it is a real ballerina...only some are better than others.

You need an attitude adjustment unless you want to continue giving ballet a bad name.

  • It wasn't about an opinion...like I said.

She is a real ballerina...just some are better than others.

Either way, I don't see you where she is!

  • well duhh,,of course you dont see me where she is! i wouldnt dance in public and post it if i had that low level...

  • Low level!?

  • geez, say your opinion just don't be so rude and arrogant about it, people can dance if they want to

and i dont see you posting any videos on ballet

  • @tereziaca she is a ballerina with the Yuri Grigorovichs Krasnodar Ballet Theatre in Russia. She is dances at the Kirov frequently.

  • She manages lightness far better than required in this Tchaik' suite.

Simply see her at 2:12, she's enjoying, isnt'she?

    -and Class isn't Pedigree-

  • she was very gracefull nd her furtee or howevr u spell it was very nicely done i also thought the choreography was nicely planned out to the music

  • She is lovely but the chorgeography is terrible.

  • That is her choreography that she uses in every show.

  • she has sickled and winged feet, and bends her legs while on pointe! especially when getting up there.

    she has nice control though.

  • surprisingly this lady taught me last summer! she came to fresno, california from russia! she was a great teacher!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sorry, but I see this WAY too often. The dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is supposed to be enchanting! I mean, she does have the look down perfect, but almost every single performance I see of the Sugar Plum Fairy is the same thing repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER again!!! It gets so tiring! It needed definitely more variety.

  • perfect timing! she is NOT slow, she is just perfectly following the rhythm of the music...

  • great dancer but needs stronger choreography

  • Agreed. The beginning was all the same steps.

  • Comment removed

  • wooooooow how many turns can u put in one dancce but her graceful moves make you forget about it she is a wonderfuly beautiful dancer and i wish her the best of luck in the ballet industry

  • i love this no matter what people say she is a beautiful dancer

  • Good point. Do those who point out all they see as wrong actually have any experience in dance?

  • I find zomebug's comment pretty funny, as one can't, by definition have "sickled and winged feet" simultaneously. They are opposite of one another. lol

  • You're right. It should be one or the other.

  • all shes doing is A BIG GIANT CIRCLE of arabesque 1,2 and then 3, 4. And, she could work on her devlupea, and altitude.

  • She is a really beautiful dancer. I argee with you shortidanca. The whole time I was watching, I felt like all she did was turns.

  • Shes a beautiful dancer but i hate the choreography of this variation. Does any one else agree?

  • Agreed. It was repeating steps all the time, thus making it very boring.

  • Perfect.Beautiful.Lovely.Graceful. I don't know any other words to say, besides the words I already said. I mean like, she's fabulous and so pretty.<3 =)

  • She is fabulous.

  • oh plz......thats the best version of the sugar plum that ive seen so far..and they are REALLY GOOD....ok..ok secondly she was like perfect and on beat too!

  • Have you seen the red commie Larissa Lezhnina?

  • This Girl needs to work on her pekay turns or she is going to break a ankle!!!

  • oh, you can do it better?

  • Yes, that was the choreography.

  • Her piques are on a bent knee!! Was that the choreography?

  • Sounds like an air conditioner is running in the background.

  • wow this chick is gonna break an ankle. she needs to straighten her legs on the pekays (lol sp?) careful sweetie

  • Good point. She could also break her very pretty neck.

  • very nice i loved it

  • This is my fave variation! I wish I could dance it someday. =)

  • this sounds stupid but what song is this? is it called the nutcracker or what? i really like it :)

  • It's the Sugar Plum Fairy Variation

    from the Nutcracker

    Music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky

  • Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

  • She has wonderfull stage presents!

    Very gracefull, I loved it!

  • I love the choreograghy! It's so cool how they can stand on their toes!

  • beautiful. i hope one day (if i ever get cast in the local "nutcracker" that i can dance that dance.

  • truthfully i have to say

    that this piece was great

it's great how they put together

a dance for this slow song

  • I love this part of the ballet.

For some reason I want to design a more "fairylike" costume for her though.

  • i dont like the choreography. it should be more flowing and lithe... its too choppy i think.

  • I saw this dance in ockland (sp?) last winter and i met this girl. We were talking and I found out the suger plum fairy was her cousin! It's great to watch it ageen! than!

  • bleck those horrible ginch things up to arabesque in the beginning were gross. but, after that the choreography became very lovely and interesting and she executed it beautifully.the music was soooo slow and she had such strength, but still was light. lovely long legs and arms, and i am just in love with that huge tutu.

  • i like her effortlessness i dance but i prefer to choreograph anyways awesome.!

  • For all you people dissing her, I would like to see you do that in frount of thousands of people!!!

  • I know, right?

Its amazing that they where able to dance to that music because of how slow it was.

  • The first 1:25 was BORING she looked lazy and the choreography did not match the piece. BUT at around 1:30 the choreography happened and so did her performance!

  • Are you a dancer?

  • yes i am.

  • ya! this is adancer with the company at my studio--she is so good

  • how does everybody konw her?

  • Ohh your right i recognized her!!

    she's my sister !!!!

muahahaha ohh damn gosh soo pathetic.

  • @22flo90 she is a dancer with the bolshoi

  • for some reason she doesnt look like she knows it well. well she knows it but i can tell she having to think about it other than that very well!

  • I too know it, we many years were partners.

  • oh my god !

    i know her !

    i danced with her !

  • wow. you have taken jealousy to a whoooole new level--and made yourself look P.A.T.H.E.T.I.C. in the process.

  • agreed

  • me gusto mucho solo q me gustaria mas si las paquitas fueran atras y no adelande pero muy bien

  • Oh, give me a break, all of you comment on this and that, yet you guys can't do a single thing this women does. So just watch and shut up!
