@DiplexHeatedHD Dude, you almost gave the enemy clan one of your family memebers. One of the things that helped unify Japan, and keep the peace, is that many of the enemy clans got together, and negotiated a peace by exchanging hostages. Basically, one clan would offer one of their children, the other clan might offer their mother. Once agreed upon they would visit each others territory, and leave the family member behind. If later, you attack their clan, they would kill your family member.

Loading is not cheating, even if you cant save/load in real life, games are meant as an escape from reality. A glorious battle will wipe out the loading issue. Make sure you use Pause during the fight to better organize troops & improve tactics. You'll need it when fighting all those samurai.

Not loading would mean lots of wasted time on re-building troops, while Takeda only grows stronger.

Don't load saves . Trust me , it's more interesting this way. You can't win all the time, just like in RL.
