Very good for a Scottish band. Don't forget the Scotts have contributed much towards modern day popular music plus old and new.

Rod, Simple Minds, Hue & Cry, Midge Ure, Annie Lennox, Lulu, to name a few

Stuart Adamson broke the rules with his unique style of guitar playing, he added a Chuckter flavour to post punk / new wave.

Then he went on to form Big Country and continued with the same style of playing and having a succession of hits.

Stuart Adamson RIP.

I truely loved The Skids because they evolved in to this totally cool Post-Punk band who created thier own sound. In a sense they were possibly one of the most original of bands....How sad that Stuart Adamson died the way he did.
