  • No offense intended but I couldn't hear anything. I had my speakers maxed, video volume on high and it was like a whisper

  • How in the fuck was this not nominated for any Academy Awards

  • @tkmac69 IMDB source:Nominated for BAFTA Film Award. Another 2 wins & 12 nominations

  • @xavishep Ya he had to graphically staple the wound together *trembles* that gotta hurt

  • I haven't cried like this since... EVER!

  • thank you. was nice since sony blocked that one guys ending

  • FUCK THE ENDING SONG MADE ME JUMP HOLY HECK!

  • FUCK OFF WITH SONG IN THE END GEORGE

  • its so sad he works so hard and keeps them out of all the danger to die by a thin stick with a piece or metal

  • @xavishep acctualy i remember him dying because he got sick

  • @1234gab4 well yah he got an infection after being shot by and arrow

  • You feel really bad when you're seeing this film. It seems you're inside the story, and you suffer.

  • poor aragon :( awesome scene.

  • hold they've been following them for awhile how the hell get past the cannibals

  • Guys the song may blow, but at least he gave you a fucking warning! You know how rare that is on videos?

  • @TissueBoxGaming thank you for understanding and respecting the uploader (me) :P But you know they can dislike the video so many times just because I made a freaking editing mistake...bs

  • Fuking song at the end

  • even thought you warned me about the song I crapped my pants

  • You should have put the song warning later! I turned down the volume thinking "What? nothing happend!" Turns it back up and fell out of my seat!

  • He died... from an arrow to the knee

  • @SomeSunshineOutside hhhhahahha xD didnt except taht one here good one sir!

  • i tot it was pretty sad but i didnt cry

  • Saying this is the saddest scene is like saying this is the darkest shade of black.

  • Thanks for uploading the final scene, George, much appreciated!

  • @SheriffBaz now you will get far in your life :P thank you

  • When I was watching this I didn't really feel sad but I pictured if that was me looking down at my father. I fucking bawled

  • As it turns out, the family that adopts him in the end is a family of cannibals, and the kid is swiftly slaughtered and devoured by the group.

  • @FGsGFdG2 XD You bastard

  • "Do you have any kids?"

    -"I don't remember...you see, I have this condition...it's my memory..."

  • @0180917 lol very funny-We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are. I'm no different.

  • Whereas I can alternatively mock/critique most movies with some sort of emotional distance, just because of my lack of any real life experience. The father/son relationship in this move really fucking hits home, not because of the hardships either endure, but because I see my dad making all of these tiny sacrifices everyday just so I can live my shitty life just a little bit better.

  • I wonder where the man thought he was going

  • Shit, I kind of appreciated the upbeat music at the end. This movie was way too damn depressing.

  • whats the name of the sad melody?

  • @Outplayedz The Beach. Original song written by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. By the way, they wrote all the original soundtrack for this movie. Look for it. You'll love it.

  • I don't think I could possibly ever leave my father, even after he died.

  • This movie makes me BAWL like a baby. :c What a wonderful father, and a shitty mother.

  • YOU KILLED MY EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was a gr8 movie... I wonder how far the old man made it...

  • I was about to cry... And then the ending song exploded into my headphones

  • @InnocentBearz I'm with you. The sound was too low, so I had my speakers cranked up, got all emotional over this powerful scene and that loud music at the end almost blew out my speakers.

  • @TsugaruClan im sorry but why didnt u read the damn warning when it appears.this is why I paused the video at that part so ppl can see

  • @GeorgeAson Wasn't much of a warning if it got me and other people... I'm pretty sharp and intuitive, but one doesn't expect loud MUSIC TO BLAST after a very poignant scene (which is still sinking in after it ends) ... especially one that required me to crank up my speakers to maximum volume so I could hear the dialogue.

  • @TsugaruClan alright I have said many times that it was a bad editing and choice of music at the end.no point in saying it over and over.please

  • I dont care if you dont cry, or are a real hard ass... But if i lost my dad that young or even at all, i literally would have nothing left to live for, Crying cant be avoided at this point in the movie

  • Good movie, way better book.

  • Great movie. Made me think about my kids alot. Very sad for me to watch. Thanks for posting the ending. Someone else had parts 1-7 but was missing part 8.

  • Im watching this at night and i had the volume loud on my i-pod touch so right when it finished and the music came up it blasted into my ear and i freaked XD... Awesome movie btw

  • man i wish they could make like The Road Part 2 or The Road 2 or The Road something just a 2nd Road !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Papa?!

  • Man, it takes a lot to make me cry but this scene almost made me tear up. As a parent, you promise your kid that you'd always be there for them no matter what, but unfortunately, it can't always be. So sad.

  • I dont know if I'm the only one.

But this movie really depressed me

  • I really hope that doesn't happen to me... Especially not with a son so young.

  • is guy pearce missing a thumb?

  • This is th worst ending for a movie I have ever seen in my life! I noticed that when I watched the movie. >:(

  • WTF I DIDNT FINISH THIS IS THE ENDING OMG WOW SCREW YOU

na jk i saw it its a sad movie

  • o m g.... yes it is sad.

  • By far the best movie I saw in Youtube that was not cutted, missing a part or the ending.

Lots of things are not explained but I guess this belongs to the good stories. ^_^

  • Who's avatar ?

  • This was really hard to watch since they build so much on the characters and its just them suffering it was hard to watch fuck i wish i knew that before the movie like it was good but i dont like the feeling i got when watching this.

  • I had a friend and his girlfriend with me when I saw this. It was really hard not to cry in front of them.

  • @SuperBeautifulNoise yeah I can understand what u mean!but weren't they crying? the girl wasn't sad?stange :P

  • @GeorgeAson

I can't remember exactly but I don't think either of them were.

  • Hi.

    It's a very sad movie.

I have one question, because I don't know if it was some kind of audio problem, or something. I think I've heard a conversation between (I believe) the family, kids, etc... when the credits were rolling, Could it be?.

    Thanks

  • You really ruined this with the editing and terrible music at the end, it killed the mood man.

  • When the dad is looking up and crying just knowing he won't wake up is such a sad point. Makes me want to hug my dad ;(

  • I like this movie . Kinda the part was you didn't know what time or year this event took place .for a kid watching this some parts where kinda scary. So after all the movie was great . So thumbs up if if u like this

  • stupid for the techno music, it's a very very bad idea

  • despite the ppl saying it was bad and boring and such, i enjoyed it greatly. This is a prefect example of the world in a post-apocalyptic state and teaches you a lot about human nature.

  • I just finished this book for my class. Such a bleak tale but I absolutely loved it. I haven't seen the full movie but I wanted to see how the end translated into film. It made me a bit weepy I must say, more so than the book... seeing that young boy linger around his father's corpse because he is completely unsure of what to do next. Tragic, I can only imagine. The womans words (which weren't in the book, she just tells him to talk to God in the book) were a nice addition, very touching.

  • I really dont know what to make of the ending?

They have been tracking him all this time, if there good, why havent they confronted them? if there bad why havent they eaten them already?

The dog? people are barely living nevermind feeding dogs

Guy has a fair few bullets?

:( I hope the boy didnt get eaten

    any ideas?? x

  • @xxkatyluvsjakexx well the father pushed EVERYONE away that came near him and his boy so thats probably why they didnt approach them, and they were following the whole time cause they knew the dad wasn't gonna make it for very long thats why the woman said "we've been following you we were so worried". and they probably needed the dog in the scence cuz earlier in the movie when the boy/father are underground the boy hears the dog so we know that family really was following them the whole time

  • @xxkatyluvsjakexx plus its a movie lol so the dog being fed and the bullets and stuff can just be there with no real explanation. but theres no way the boy got eaten.......as long as they steered clear of the cannibal house lol

  • the worse, the really worse movie i have watched in my live, so sad and an atmosphere which wants to make you doing suicide

and please guys, WHICH STORY? you dont know what happnd before / after ...

IF YOU WATCH THIS, you can forget the rest of the day

  • AHHH MY EARS!!!!!!!!

  • Cormac Mccarthy ROCKS!!

  • I thought it was a beautiful, heartfelt ending. But the nagging pessimist in me can't shake the feeling that the family probably ate him.

  • Oh god, I expected this film to be so much better.

  • this mad me cry so much i couldnt help it he lost his dad

  • JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THE FUCKING MUSIC AT THE END SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME

  • I'm never one to cry, but this made the tears seep out . Only ever cried like this once!

  • worse than titanic for sadness

  • fucking moron

  • i wwatched this with my dad and he as crying

i had never seen him cry

  • Damn, I never realized that was Guy Pearce, didn't recognize him.

  • fuck, this movie almost killed me...absolutely the saddest, most dispiriting shit ever. truly, this movie is a compendium of all of parent's worst nightmares.

  • holy, i turned it down and it still scared the hell outta me

  • Thanks for posting this! Just watched the film, but I had to take my dog out right after the father died and when I returned the credits were rolling! lol

  • I bawed like a bitch first time I watched this. ;A;

But what I didn't understand was why they didn't hold a proper burial for his dad. If they just left him like that, he would've probably been found by cannibals...

  • @xXBumblebeeGirl13Xx you got a point but the movie ends letting us figure what they did next..they didn't show neither the burial(if there was one nor their movement)

  • @GeorgeAson That's true.

  • @GeorgeAson I remember reading the book like 5 years ago. Pretty sure in the book, the good guy that The Boy goes with at the end tells him that he will see to it that his father is buried. Not sure why they didn't put it in when they made it into a movie. Maybe just an oversight, or a time issue kind of deal.

  • @GeorgeAson There never was a burial. And the father is actually left in a forest and not on the beach. Well, this is from the book from where the movie is built. The movie leaves a few questions that are answered in the book. You should read it if you liked the movie, the book is even better, much better. :) Its written by Cormac McCarthy.

  • @Hipptothephrall oh alright thanks i will try to buy it but Im not sure if I can find it here..now any international shipping book sites?

  • @xXBumblebeeGirl13Xx In the book, the boy covers the father with all the blanket he has and stays with his father for three days before the man confronts him. In the end the man takes all the blanket instead of one that covers the father. The boy also wonders if his father is "safe" without being covered and the man replies that he is and will. Thats pretty much the best summary i can give you in english. ;)

  • @xXBumblebeeGirl13Xx Same my friend, When the dad is looking up and crying just knowing he won't wake up is such a sad point. Makes me want to hug my dad for fear of loosing him the same way :(

  • AHH I HAD IT LOUD AT THE END

  • who waas the brain fuk who put that stupid music in this vid..HOLY shit..are you some kind of moron!!!!!!!!!!!????????

  • Thanks GeorgeAson for the upload.. with all due respect and to all of you who are not fond of techno music.. click on this if you want to avoid the techno music 00:15

  • @danmarino1970 thnx... and stop watching the vid at 9:30

  • That super loud music you put at the end completely killed the mood, and nearly the whole scene. I appreciate the scene, but including that music was a mistake.

  • brilliant film, one of the best ever made... but jesus christ i had my speakers all the way up then the music came on and scared the shit out of me, should of read the warning lol
