Im so sad my hamster gave birth but i put my hand in to hold her because my dog died and i needed comforting and baby hamsters were hanging off her i knew she was pregnnat but i didnt think she would have them today and i touched them will she eat them?? it looked like she was feeding them milk after i touched them!!

seemed as if there were younger hamsters in there with her maybe they was buggin her

and hamsters do better alone.. if you read up on hamsters.. its better to just have one than more than one.. cause they tend to fight a lot.. especially when they nursing.. the other hamsters could eat the babies as well..

No your wrong if you read on the internet it says a hamster will give out a loud squeal because of the pain there in like when woman give birth they screams and shout and this is what hamsters do.

yeahh but it doesnt seem as if shes giving birth... she looks as if she trying to sleep... a hamster wouldnt normally look sleeping when giving birth O_o. and either wayy if you look under her you see small darker hamsters... when a hamster is born they're pink

Hamsters eat there babys. It's really sad. I'm getting a hamster in 4 in a half weeks. I'm getting a robo hamsters, they are so cute!!

no it just really hurts imagine you giving birth to like 5 or 6 babies at one time thats just what they do like women scream and shout when they give birth so this is what hamsters do

@HorsesRuleOx well actuly my hamster did that i heard that same noise and it was actulay her eating the baby. it wasnt her that was screaming it was the baby fighting back trying to not be eatin

welll if they were babies underneath her like it looks like the babies prob were old enough not to drink from the mother and they rob had their teeth so most likely one bit her nipple and it hurt her no worries about it its normal

I have 3 hamsters and each has a cage b/c they'll fight like that or reproduce (2 girls and a boy) if kept together. Personally, I'd watch to make sure neither get seriously injured or bleed from biting. If not, that may just be a normal tif, otherwise, I suggest investing in a second cage.
