Hi! I think think which ever plant gets the most sun will be the most productive. Tomato plants needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Tomatoes are mostly water so you need to water your plants every day. Good Luck! Jack
no wonder ur plants not doing hot.. its gotten no damn sun... your planter is too small.. thats not gonna be enough dirt for huge roots to grow onto..just plant the tomatoe when its bigger than that and it wont crush the roots nice theory though.. NOT
Hi, did some initial experiments with upside-down tomatos a few years ago. The more soil mix you can give them, the better. I had to add a second plastic coffee can so the plant wouldn't dry out and so it had room for the roots. A mix of 1/3 perlite or vermiculite will lighten the load (if you haven't mixed it like that already), and that will help give the roots some air passages as well. Looking forward to seeing your updates!
Thank you for doing this - I was wondering if anyone else was curious about this product and if we could use regular pots to grow plants in - from the bottom. I hope it works for you cause then I will definately do it myself.
try doing this with marijuana!
