Most of the time they would sit there just for the music video effect. I don't doubt that he plays piano, but usually they would hire a pianist to play for recording.

@COLOREDxDREAMS You can compose music for an instrument and not know how to play said instrument.

Since Ruki can play guitar, he probably composed it on guitar first and had them test it with a piano player. Notes such as C, D, E, F, ect are the same on any instrument. You just have to decide if you want it high, low, sharp, natural or flat.
